Because you literally can't advertise them. Post "Backstage Coordinator for Beyoncé" publicly and you don't get candidates. You get fans. So the whole industry got built on trust. Who you know. Who you've toured with. Nikki Sanz spent a year living on a bus with 11 other people. In that world, being great at your job is only half of it. You have to be someone people still want to be around at hour 18. Discreet enough to be near famous people. Wired for a lifestyle most people would tap out of in a week. It's a very specific kind of person and they've never had a place built for them.
