We are pleased to welcome Helena Scamehorn to Grand Central Bakery as our new Chief Financial Officer! Helena joins our Executive Leadership Team at a pivotal moment. With over 25 years of finance leadership experience, a commitment to supporting local nonprofits, and a deep love for her Pacific Northwest community (go Huskies!), she is uniquely qualified to help guide us through our transition to a Perpetual Purpose Trust. Her expertise will be vital as we continue to prove that a mission-driven business can thrive while staying local and independent forever. As Helena steps into this role, she will be working alongside our current CFO and board member, Bob Kerr, as he prepares for retirement this spring. Bob has been an integral part of the Grand Central Bakery impact for 33 years. While we look forward to celebrating his upcoming adventures soon, we are grateful that he will remain a close partner to the business as a member of our Board of Directors.
