The conversations from the HPRA Los Angeles Summit: The New Influence Playbook continue. Thank you to everyone who joined us at Millwick DTLA for an afternoon of thoughtful conversations around how creators, journalists, brands, and platforms are reshaping communications and redefining modern PR. Across four sessions, moderators and speakers explored everything from creator partnerships and audience trust to entrepreneurship, platform evolution, cultural influence, and the future of media. We are thrilled to highlight our work on the record-breaking launch of Focus Features’ Obsession, which just secured a Top 5 highest-grossing opening weekend for the horror genre in 2026. Opening in 2,615 theaters, the film smashed domestic expectations, bringing in $17.2M on opening weekend, well above tracking estimates. Our campaign strategy leaned heavily into the film's core theme—"be careful what you wish for"—while building up newcomer Inde Navarrette with key Hispanic media to drive cultural resonance. The box office data shows exactly how well that targeted strategy paid off: • Targeted Reach: 32% of the opening weekend audience was Hispanic, proving the impact of our focused media push. • Key Demographics: Roughly 75% of the audience was under 35, with the 25-34 Gen-Z/Millennial crowd making up the largest quadrant. • Incredible Word-of-Mouth: In a rarity for the horror genre, the film dropped only 11% between Saturday and Sunday. Congratulations to our partners at Focus Features and Film Studios team for delivering a campaign that audiences truly obsessed over. Visual credit: Refinery29 Somos (@r29somos)

A proud moment for our team earlier this month in New York. Jennifer Becerra, EVP, Partner and Chief Strategy and Creative Officer, and Camila Velayos, Account Executive, were honored at the Ragan Communications and PR Daily Top Women in Communications Awards. Jennifer was recognized in the Agency Leaders category and Camila as a Rising Star, celebrating women who are helping shape the future of the communications industry. We were proud to nominate them and even prouder to see them recognized among such an inspiring group of leaders. Jennifer and Camila represent two important parts of what we value at H+M Communications: experienced leadership guiding our work and emerging talent continuing to raise the bar for our industry. Seeing both recognized in the same year reflects the kind of careers we aim to build and support at our firm. As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we are grateful for the many talented women across our agency whose leadership drives our campaigns, partnerships and culture forward every day. Congratulations again to Jennifer and Camila on this well deserved recognition. #WomenInCommunications #WomenInLeadership #WomensHistoryMonth #HMCommunications #DeliveringTheUnexpected
