“There are a lot easier ways to make money than to start a company.” For Taylor Casey, Founder and CEO of Kahmino, one of the most important lessons of entrepreneurship is that founders have to love the work. Building a startup takes more than identifying an opportunity. It takes purpose, persistence and a clear understanding of why the work matters to you. Watch this clip from the latest episode of #FounderShares, then catch the full conversation on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/eDgjA5C3 Meet the team: John Rudd, Trevor Schmidt #Kahmino #Entrepreneurship #StartupAdvice #FounderJourney

“The work is 24/7, but even when you’re not working, the mental load is 24/7.” Taylor Casey, Founder and CEO of Kahmino, shares an honest perspective on one of the biggest differences between corporate life and building a startup. For founders, the work is not only about execution. It is also about learning how to build sustainable practices, lean on mentors and carry the responsibility of creating something for the long term. Last night, we celebrated 30 years of Hutchison surrounded by founders, clients, investors, partners, friends and the broader community that has been part of our journey along the way. One of the most meaningful parts of the evening was hearing stories from people reflecting on the companies built, milestones reached, relationships formed, and moments where Hutchison played a role in their journey. The energy in the room was incredible and a reminder that this milestone is really about the people and community behind it all. Thank you for being part of our journey and for allowing us to be part of yours over the last 30 years. We’re excited to continue supporting the founders, investors, and entrepreneurial communities building what’s next. From our team to you, thank you!

“There’s magic when you bring a group of women together.” In this clip from our latest #FounderShares episode, Elizabeth Kelly talks about the importance of intentional community, peer support, and creating spaces where people feel comfortable showing up fully as themselves. A big theme throughout this conversation was the importance of building environments where founders, investors, and professionals can connect beyond transactional networking and actually support each other through the realities of building careers and companies. We recorded this episode live during CED (Center for Entrepreneurial Development))’s Strength in Numbers (SIN) ahead of #VC26, and this clip captured exactly why communities like this continue to grow. “When you’re the only woman in the room, you’re the unicorn in the room.” One of the strongest moments from our latest #FounderShares episode came from Zakiya Alta Lee, MBA sharing a perspective on confidence, visibility, and learning to own your place in the room. Not as a disadvantage. As an advantage. Your perspective, experiences, and voice are often exactly what makes you memorable. We recorded this episode live during CED (Center for Entrepreneurial Development)’s Strength in Numbers (SIN) ahead of #VC26, and this conversation was a powerful reminder that confidence and representation matter deeply in entrepreneurship, investing, and leadership.
