A new school year starts with confidence. 💙 We’re proud to support Fox 8’s Stuff the Bus with a $5,000 donation to Shoes and Clothes for Kids, helping provide new shoes and clothing to local children as they prepare to head back to school. Together, we’re helping students start the school year feeling prepared, confident, and ready to succeed. 👟

Thousands of school supplies, all for one shared mission! 💚 Every composition notebook, folder, pencil pouch, glue stick, and classroom essential was purchased to help students and teachers at the I PROMISE School stay equipped for success throughout the school year. For the eighth year, Kaulig Giving proudly coordinated this annual effort from ordering every requested item to unloading, organizing, and stocking the shelves alongside our incredible team of volunteers. Here’s to another great school year ahead! ✏️ LeBron James Family Foundation Matt Kaulig

From an incredible Junior Clinic with the LeBron James Family Foundation and First Tee – Greater Akron to honoring John Daly as this year’s Ambassador of Golf, it was a week we’ll be talking about for a long time. Congratulations to Zach Johnson on capturing the 2026 Kaulig Companies Championship! ⛳️ Most importantly, thank you to our nonprofit partners, volunteers, fans, and community members who made this championship so unbelievably special. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this week one to remember. 💙

I’m reviewing funding requests for upcoming meetings. In our giving office, we receive hundreds of applications every year. You might be surprised to know some of those requests are for tens of thousands of dollars with little to no mission alignment and no prior outreach. Even more disappointing are poorly crafted requests from organizations that DO align with our work, but they skip the relationship-building step and make unreasonable asks right out of the gate. This approach wastes everyone’s time. If you want to be a more effective fundraiser, start here: Prioritize alignment. Make sure potential donors share similar interests or priorities. It doesn’t have to be a perfect match, but there should be a clear connection. Know your audience. Understand an organization’s typical grant size and what financial details matter most to them. Make a thoughtful introduction. Don’t jump straight to the ask. Reach out, introduce yourself, and ask a few key questions first. Tell a compelling story. When given the opportunity, bridge the gap between a donor’s interests and the organization’s impact. That’s where relationships begin. A little preparation goes a long way and dramatically improves your chances of success. #Fundraising #Nonprofits #Philanthropy #Development #GrantWriting
