We are thrilled to share that KilgourMD research is now published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology (JDD). Our dual-serum system for female pattern hair loss is the subject of a peer-reviewed clinical trial and the results validate what we’ve always believed about the science. The prospective study, conducted in women of predominantly menopausal age, demonstrated statistically significant and clinically meaningful reductions in hair shedding after just 4 months of use. Results were validated through an objective combing test, modified hair wash test, and clinical expert evaluation. Female pattern hair loss is one of the most common and chronically under-treated conditions affecting women today. For too long, the menopausal woman has been an overlooked patient with too few options and too little research behind her. We see her, and we are dedicated to building the research that puts her needs at the center. On this Mother’s Day, I’m taking a moment to reflect on the incredible women who have shaped who I am today. My academic career was profoundly shaped by my powerhouse research mentor at Stanford, Dr. Kavita Sarin. Academically brilliant, but also a genuinely kind and compassionate human being whose greatest joy comes from mentoring those around her. I would not be where I am today without her enduring support and guidance, which fundamentally shaped both my career and the way I think. In business, I’m incredibly proud to have the backing of two of the consumer world’s most formidable investors, Deborah Benton and Alicia Sontag. Experienced operators themselves, they are my first call for business strategy, brand growth, and often just general life advice. Wise, strong, deeply impressive women, and I still pinch myself daily to have such a powerhouse team behind me. At KilgourMD, my partner in crime is Colleen Quinn. It’s rare in life to meet someone you instantly click with, build incredible things with, and admire, respect, and adore in equal measure. She is an extraordinary partner, trusted friend, and one of the people who makes the hard days fun. Lastly, I cannot thank enough the two women who truly came before everything else. To my older sister Joanna, what incredible fortune it is to have had not one mum, but two. Thank you for the endless adventures, the coffee chats at Costa, and for watching Barney with me on Saturday mornings when you probably would have preferred a lie-in. Those moments meant more than you’ll ever know. And to my mum: you are my muse, my fiercest supporter, the person who loves me unconditionally, and ultimately the person for whom I created this brand.
