Yesterday we celebrated a $567 million investment in Norton Shores that will create opportunity for workers, families, Michigan dairy farmers, and local businesses across West Michigan. A groundbreaking is about more than what gets built. It’s about an ecosystem of people, partnerships, and communities that make growth possible. Grateful to the State of Michigan and Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Muskegon County, the City of Norton Shores, and everyone walking this journey with us.

Food insecurity is one of biggest issues in this country, including right here in Philadelphia, with 1 in 5 people—including 21% of children—being affected. That is simply not okay.  At La Colombe Coffee Workshop we’re proud to support organizations that share our same mission, including Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Through this initiative we will support two free produce markets located at CHOP Pediatric Primary Care, Cobbs Creek and CHOP's Nicholas and Athena Karabots Pediatric Primary Care Center—reaching 9,500 families and distributing more than 81,000 pounds of fresh food each year—helping bring fresh, nutritious food to our neighbors in Philly who may not have direct access. To celebrate, our Chobani and La Colombe Coffee Workshop employees rolled up their sleeves yesterday— giving back to their community by helping restock the market and getting fresh food directly into the hands of the community. It all started in Philly, with a single roasting machine and a dream. That dream quickly took hold — and in 2016, it found a second home in West Michigan, where a welcoming community embraced us and helped us grow. Over the last decade, our Norton Shores plant and surrounding community have helped us share the craft of La Colombe across the country. Together, we’ve redefined the ready-to-drink coffee space and built connections with coffee lovers nationwide. Today marks a big moment for us and Muskegon County. We announced plans for a $567 million expansion of our Norton Shores plant, which is expected to add approximately 200,000 square feet of production space and create nearly 340 new jobs in the region. We’re incredibly grateful to continue this journey in West Michigan. Deliciously frothy canned lattes.  A buzzing stadium booth.    Coffee lovers and soccer fans coming together. 🕊️⚽    From gearing up for a soccer-filled summer to celebrating America’s 250th birthday, we created serious buzz on the floor at Natural Products Expo —using the power of great coffee and the beautiful game to energize attendees and showcase what’s next for La Colombe Coffee Workshop.    Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

We recently gathered friends, partners, and neighbors from across Muskegon to celebrate one of our Legacy Project Fund grantees: Creating Healthier Schools (CHS). Carefully selected by our West Michigan employees, this grant will help revitalize two commercial kitchens supporting the Muskegon Area ISD —expanding CHS’s ability to partner with local farms and prepare fresh, nourishing meals for 28,000 students across the region. This is more than a renovation. These refurbished kitchens will become vibrant, hands-on spaces where students can roll up their sleeves, learn how to nourish their bodies, and even bring their own culinary creations to life for local schools and partners to enjoy. We’ve always believed in supporting our community—and that means investing in a future where every child has access to healthy food, opportunity, and the support they need to thrive.
