  • Lots of great new upgrades to #LeoAFO

    These four are underrated. They are also the ones that decide whether the finished device is comfortable to wear. 👇 Channel Tool. Quickly generates an anterior channel, creating the squared edges needed on the sides of the AFO. A wide range of parameters lets you shape the added geometry precisely, so donning and doffing is genuinely easier. Cannot extend past the met heads or be added posteriorly. Flared Edges Tool. Adds a shelf buildup to the posterior of a leg scan. Shape the profile how you like, then route the trimline across it for a flared edge, ready for 3DP or CNC. Posterior calf region only. Pipe Tool. Turn the main outline into a pipe or ridge, with a convex, concave, or linear profile. Height and radius set separately. More accurate flared edges, less fiddling. Some height and width combinations produce impossible geometry. Stirrup Tool. Adds a flat zone on the lateral foot to make space for a stirrup. Size, height, and blending all adjustable. Lateral side only for now. Four tools, one shared goal: make it easier for the patient to put on and wear. 🦿 All live, all available.

  • Still sending designs out to a third party and waiting on someone else's turnaround time? 🤔 Outsourcing design work means every device depends on someone outside your clinic or lab, on their schedule, not yours. With reusable design templates, that work can move in-house entirely, giving your team full clinical control from the first tweak to the final export. It also means production doesn't stall if one designer is out sick or leaves the practice. The whole team can turn out consistent, on-brand devices without a single point of failure.     Something a lot of AFO designers tell me: it is not the big decisions that eat the day. It is the small restarts. 🔄 Three tools in LeoAFO that cut those out: Adjusting landmarks after designs are applied. Need to move a landmark? Go back to the Landmarks tab, adjust, reapply, keep going. No restarting the whole design workflow. Mesh edits update automatically in the Design tab. Regional inflate/deflate. Select an area, inflate or deflate just those triangles. Good for snugging the fit on a fleshy calf, or adding room for a calf liner. Defeature tool. Regional smoothing that removes sharp peaks and bumps, and fills valleys. All three are live and available to everyone.
