The Healthy Lucas County Coalition, facilitated by the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, has launched the 2026 Community Health Assessment (CHA) Survey. Community feedback gathered through the survey, focus groups, and stakeholder engagement will help identify health priorities and inform future health improvement strategies across Lucas County. Join us in celebrating Earth Day and its 2026 theme "Our power, our planet," which highlights the shared responsibility to advance clean energy solutions, reduce pollution, and empower communities to address climate change through local action.

We're recognizing the critical work our telecommunicators do to facilitate safety in our community. On Tuesday, we proclaimed April 12-18 2026 as Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in Lucas County. Join us in thanking telecommunicators, the first and most critical contact our residents have with emergency services, this week and every week!

The Lucas County Department of Workforce Development partnered with Toledo Public Schools to host its third annual Youth Hiring Event on Tuesday. The event linked more than 500 students from multiple local school districts to over 70 employers to discuss open positions, and in some cases, interview for jobs. #LucasCounty #TodayTomorrowTogether
