Last week at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, I joined Bank of America’s Breakthrough Technology Dialogue to discuss how technology is accelerating change faster than ever. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives with leaders from different industries and regions. One theme was clear: the pace of innovation continues to accelerate. Autonomous mobility is a good example. Advances in physical AI are helping turn robotaxis from concept to reality. Through our technology and collaboration with Uber and Nuro, Lucid is well positioned to play a role in that evolution. This week, I had the privilege of joining Lucid Motors as Chief Technology Officer. From my first interactions with the team, one thing has been very clear: Lucid is home to extraordinary talent building phenomenal products. When I drove a Lucid Gravity for the first time, I was struck by the elegance of it and the depth of engineering behind it. And the Lucid Air Sapphire then took my breath away as we launched from 0-60 mph in 1.89 seconds.  As a great man once said – Extraordinary things happen at the intersection of engineering and art. Lucid’s vehicles do not ask customers to choose between beauty, performance, or efficiency. They bring these qualities together in a way that is truly rare.  After nearly four decades in multiple industries, I have learned that the strongest outcomes come from technical experts that are empowered to do their very best work. Lucid clearly has those experts. I am humbled by the incredible energy and passion!   My commitment is to remove bottlenecks, strengthen value flow, and ensure teams have what they need to move with agility, efficiency, and decisiveness. We generally do not comment on rumors. But the claims circulated yesterday were so far from the facts that they require a direct response. Lucid is not considering bankruptcy or a transaction to take the company private. Those reports are false. The Board did not explore either scenario. Period. As disclosed in our most recent quarterly filing, Lucid has sufficient liquidity to fund its operations well into next year. We work with outside advisors to improve operational performance and execution. They are not advising Lucid on a take-private transaction or bankruptcy, and any suggestion that they have recommended either course of action to management or the Board is false. My priority is clear: turn this company around. That is where the leadership team and I are focused. I look forward to providing a full update during our quarterly earnings call on August 4th.
