Volunteering is a great way to build skills, gain experience, and work toward future employment goals. Billy, an individual in our Individualized Supported Employment Program, volunteers once a week at High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, Inc. He helps tidy up horse stalls while giving back to the community. Opportunities like these help individuals build confidence, develop valuable skills, explore their interests, and take meaningful steps toward achieving their future employment goals. We’re proud to share that Lumibility’s Julie Hall, Deputy Program Officer of Children & Family Services and co-chair of the Legislative-Fiscal Subcommittee of the State Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC), recently helped recognize Connecticut legislators and Governor Ned Lamont for their support of the Birth to Three system. The additional funding included in the state budget is an important step toward strengthening services for infants, toddlers, and families across Connecticut. #BirthToThree #Kidsteps #DisabilityAwareness
