Throwback to 1990: MJ’s work on Rochester’s iconic “Can of Worms” Interchange was a defining project in transportation engineering. Spanning miles of highways, ramps, and city streets, this transformative infrastructure project delivered 15 new bridges, enhanced roadway safety, and improved connectivity throughout the region. The project also broke new ground technologically, serving as a pilot study for Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) for New York State. This pioneering effort showcased MJ’s early leadership in digital innovation and helped shape the future of transportation design. Its impact earned industry recognition, including a feature in a publication by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), further cementing the project’s place as a milestone in both infrastructure development and engineering advancement. #ThrowbackThursday #TransportationEngineering #MJ80 #EngineeringInnovation #CivilEngineering #TransportationDesign

Proud to support the rollout of electric aircraft charging systems nationwide! MJ has helped airports navigate key FAA requirements such as ALP updates, NEPA reviews, and airspace notifications to bring cutting-edge electric aviation infrastructure to life. These projects accelerate BETA TECHNOLOGIES vision for scalable electric flight by deploying essential infrastructure in strategic locations. By working collaboratively with airports and local communities, we’re making sustainable aviation accessible nationwide, which helps reduce carbon emissions and benefits travelers across the country. Beyond installations, we're getting airports funding-ready by proactively updating Airport Layout Plans for early adopters of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and positioning them for the future. MJ’s Scott Shillieto and Harrison Tinder had the opportunity to fly the BETA simulator, gaining firsthand experience with this innovative technology and its role in the future of flight. Curious about AAM or electric aircraft infrastructure? Connect with Scott Shillieto, MJ’s eMobility Lead, to learn how we can help your airport lead the way.
