Colorado has been a heavily-watched test case of the American Artificial Intelligence (AI) regulatory debate. The 2024 AI Act was set to impose a first-in-the-U.S. framework around “high‑risk” AI systems used in consequential decisions (employment, lending, housing, etc.) and included duties to prevent algorithmic discrimination and implement governance programs.   But the legal landscape is moving quickly.
