Internet infrastructure for the enterprise.

About us

Meter provides internet infrastructure for businesses. Headquartered in San Francisco, we were founded in 2015 to build enterprise-grade networks that are faster, more accessible, and more secure. Our full-stack approach combines hardware, software, and operations so that any company can seamlessly run on a reliable and modern network. We believe the internet is a fundamental utility that businesses should be able to turn on as easily as water and electricity. Our team includes people who have helped scale successful companies and recent graduates who are eager to learn and build. We’re looking for people who are excited to work on interesting problems, enjoy learning from and helping each other, and above all, are kind and ambitious. We’re building for the long term, and we’re just getting started.

Earlier this year, our team received a thrilling piece of news: Meter was awarded the Red Dot Award for Best Networking Product Design. The Red Dot is one of the world's most prestigious design awards, and it went to our first generation of hardware. We're a hardware company at our core, so this one means a lot. When I started at Meter, we made a conscious choice to pivot away from the traditional hardware blueprints of legacy networking companies. Instead, we chose to design networking equipment for outcomes. Leaning into our unique business model and building devices that are always intended to work cohesively together. From cradle to grave, we control every single aspect of the product. We sketch concepts by hand on 10-foot rolls of paper, prototype in-house, and own every layer down to the board layout, thermals, and airflow. Anyone on our hardware team can walk you through not just a device's specs, but the late nights and breakthroughs behind it. Saman and I accepted the award in Essen, Germany, at the Red Dot Design Museum — our work on display alongside Apple, Lamborghini, and Ferrari. At one point we were standing beside roughly $10M in supercars, chatting with the head of a major European telecom carrier, and I realized this is exactly where Meter belongs. This win is a massive milestone, but it is far from our endgame. We want to lead the industry and build beautiful hardware that changes the way we connect the world.

We loved seeing so many Chicagoans at our most recent Circuit event. Thorin M. from Rally House and Chris Keller from Pembroke Hill School shared how partnering with Meter opens up capacity to take on more IT initiatives, and Zeus Kerravala and Anil Varanasi discussed how networking is evolving to meet new demands. Circuit is heading westward to six more cities this summer. There’s still time to register here: meter.com/circuit

Big congratulations to our hardware team!

It’s official— Meter Network is a Red Dot winner in the 2026 Product Design Awards. Not only have we earned this distinction, but we’re also one of the select few featured in the “Design on Stage” exhibition at the Red Dot Design Museum, located at the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Essen, Germany. This exemplifies our vision: hardware should be beautiful, belong in museums, and change the way we connect the world. Now, that’s cool. https://lnkd.in/dJTY3iXz

We’re excited to see customers and partners at our sixth Meter Circuit in Chicago on Thursday! Attendees can ask Meter cofounders Anil and Sunil Varanasi about their vision for the future of enterprise networks, and hear how Pembroke Hill School’s Chris Keller and Rally House’s Thorin M. transformed their organizations with Meter. Attendees will also have hands-on time with Meter hardware and the opportunity to network. Registration closes tomorrow, and there are a few slots left. Register at meter.com/circuit

For the second consecutive year, Meter has been recognized as a Visionary in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Enterprise Wired and Wireless LAN. We're 10 years into building Meter, and we're humbled by the recognition. In our view, it reflects what we’re seeing in the market: IT leaders are ready for a different model. Our 99.6% customer retention rate reinforces that demand for an end-to-end networking solution that brings hardware, software, and services together. This vertical integration is the foundation for the future of networking: autonomous networks that detect problems early, correct themselves without intervention, and improve from real operational data. We’re excited to build it together. Download a complimentary copy of the full report:  https://lnkd.in/gbxVXUmR
