Small- and medium-size business (SMB) leaders everywhere are likely nodding their heads in agreement with Jimmy Nesbitt's recent Employee Benefit News' article on rising health costs pushing employers to rethink benefits strategies. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eACuZ64N Unlike larger employers, SMBs often lack the kind of infrastructure and budget that can help launch healthcare-cost-curbing interventions. It's a good thing they don't need to clear those hurdles to offer Midi Health.

In a recent survey of 2,000+ adults conducted by The Harris Poll, a majority of both men AND women said that those in perimenopause and menopause should not be expected to simply "push through" their symptoms. Thanks to more open discussion about peri/menopause, public awareness and understanding are changing. In fact, for some of our patients, it's the men in their lives who encouraged them to book their first visit with a Midi Health clinician (often after hearing from their employer that we're in-network with their family's health plan). To them and anyone not only appreciating the impact of peri/menopause but taking steps to support women, it's our turn to thank you. Let's keep changing the narrative together.

Pregnancy and the geriatric years are universally accepted as times when a woman requires specialized care. The years in between bring hormonal changes that affect nearly every aspect of women's body, yet specialized peri/menopause care remains one of the biggest gaps in health care. Midi Health CEO and Co-Founder Joanna Strober joined Bloomberg Television's Wall St Week to discuss why thinking of menopause as "a moment" perpetuates un- and underserved needs of millions of patients. 📺 Watch it here (09:53): https://lnkd.in/eRFu7z5B

Mercer U.S. Health Leader Simon Camaj, commenting on the firm's recent survey of employers, said that 2027 is poised to be a year in which benefits managers use different levers to manage rising costs, including guiding their people to higher-value care and providing support where it will have the greatest impact. That could mean doing what feels like reinventing your benefits strategy, or it could mean making sure you are maximizing the value of your health plan just as it is today. Midi Health is an in-network healthcare provider for most PPO plans. If yours is one of them, employees can access our specialized care right now. Our virtual model improves access, and our multidisciplinary care both streamlines and optimizes the patient journey, reducing the cost of care. Sometimes complicated challenges have simple solutions. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gPSznhZf

Most women have had a conversation about birth control with their doctor. For some, that is something that happens in their 20s and 30s. But as Midi Health Chief Clinical Officer Mindy Goldman, MD, reminds readers in a recent PureWow article by Rachel Bowie, ovulation doesn't stop during hormonal decline—it simply becomes highly erratic, meaning that an unplanned pregnancy is still very possible until menopause. Dr. Goldman shared more on this and why birth control offers benefits far beyond pregnancy prevention for women in midlife. 👉 Read the article: https://lnkd.in/eZcVKAJG
