We are pleased to contribute industry perspective to the University of Chicago’s new Quantitative Developer Certificate, and look forward to strengthening our engagement with students to help prepare them for a career at the intersection of technology and markets. As Pranat Pathak, our Global Head of Fixed Income, Commodities and Core Technology and International Chief Information Officer, shared, “AI is changing how we work, and the need for domain expertise to help shape and evaluate outcomes has never been more important.”
📣 New Program Alert: DSI and the University of Chicago Master of Science in Financial Mathematics are launching a new Quantitative Developer (QD) Certificate, combining training in advanced software engineering with financial expertise. Full-stack quantitative developers build and maintain the systems that power modern trading and risk management and the QD Certificate represents a new approach to preparing practitioners for these roles. We have worked with an Industry Advisory Board composed of leading quantitative firms Chicago Trading Company (CTC), DRW, and global alternative investment firm Millennium to ensure the certificate’s curriculum trains students in the necessary theory and application required for a career path in quant development. Board members are also contributing topics for certificate case studies based on challenges their firms face, helping to ensure students are prepared to succeed in leading firms. Their engagement provides industry expertise, which combined with UChicago’s analytical depth and curriculum expertise, results in a certificate designed for student success outside of the classroom. DSI and FinMath are thrilled to be launching this new program. Check out our website for more information. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gWMABXy9
