On Friday, June 12, 2026, MinebeaMitsumi Group (Thailand) held an official completion ceremony and commenced operations of its new Rod End manufacturing facility, known as "Building 11" (Phase 11), located at the Lopburi Plant of NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd. The event was held under the inspiring concept "Welcome Onboard to the Future," reflecting the Group's vision to drive the organization through innovation, cutting-edge production technology, and sustainable business operations.   The ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), who presided over the opening ceremony. Also in attendance was Mr. Wiraphong Ritrod, Governor of Lopburi Province, together with senior executives from MinebeaMitsumi Group, partners and distinguished guests from both the public and private sectors.   The event commenced with welcome remarks by Mr. Katsuhiko Yoshida, Director, President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of MinebeaMitsumi Inc., who highlighted the significance of the new facility and reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to advancing manufacturing capabilities.   Mr. Weerapong Ritrod, Governor of Lopburi Province, also delivered congratulatory remarks and praised the company’s long-standing contributions to the economic and industrial development of Lopburi Province.   On this occasion, Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Board of Investment (BOI), honored the event by officially declaring the new building open and expressed his appreciation for the Group’s continuous investment. He highlighted that this represents a significant milestone in elevating Thai industry toward high-value-added activities, creating high-quality employment opportunities, and transferring advanced technology to the Thai workforce.   Investment Details and Objectives of the New Building The new factory building has a total floor area of 16,500 square meters, representing a combined investment of more than THB 2.6 billion in construction and machinery. The facility is equipped with high-precision machinery and production process automation systems, ensuring that manufacturing operations meet the stringent standards required by leading global aerospace manufacturers. The new building has two primary objectives: To increase production capacity for standard products (rod end & spherical bearings), for which demand is expected to grow further in the future. To establish integrated production lines for fasteners (fastening components), swaged tubes (formed tubes), and machinable liners (new type of liners).   The launch of the new Rod End Building (Phase 11) marks another significant milestone in strengthening MinebeaMitsumi’s competitiveness, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and supporting the company’s sustainable long-term growth. #MinebeaMitsumi #MinebeaMitsumiThailand

#Precision is the result of collaboration. High‑performance end effectors are not created by optimizing isolated components. They emerge through early alignment between OEMs and #engineering partners — where interfaces, tolerances, materials and motion requirements are defined together. This reduces risks, accelerates development loops and enables a smooth transition from prototype to stable serial production. Such partnerships ensure that components, bearings, joints and function‑integrated assemblies form one coherent motion system that performs reliably under real clinical conditions. “ #Snappy ” illustrates how integrated development creates #miniature mechanisms that remain precise well beyond the initial test phase. A strong partner provides not only parts, but expertise, transparency, an innovation mindset and long‑term manufacturing stability across the full product lifecycle. 👉 What defines a strong development partner for you — beyond cost alone?

  • A crocodile in the operating room? 🐊🤔💭 Don't worry – it's just snapping at precision. "Schnappy" is the nickname of one of our miniature surgical assemblies. Small. Extremely precise. Designed for minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery. Because every millimeter counts in the operating room, technology is needed that:  ☑️ Grips reliably   ☑️ Precisely positioned  ☑️ Survives thousands of sterilization cycles Looks playful. But it works with high precision. Snappy. Built for surgery. Trusted by precision. https://lnkd.in/e74tCeeE

Snappy. Built for surgery. Trusted by precision. #medizintechnik #minimalinvasiv #miniatur #precisionengineering #myonic #kugellager #leutkirch #greatplacetowork

Why do miniature ball bearings decide whether an instrument still performs the same after hundreds of sterilization cycles? In robotic surgical instruments, far beyond the end effector, miniature ball bearings define much more than rotational motion. They establish precise axes that guide pivoting or rotating elements with minimal friction and extremely low mechanical play. When plastic ball‑bearing cages are used, their material becomes a decisive factor. Its behavior during cleaning, reprocessing and repeated sterilization cycles determines whether the bearing maintains stability, friction level and smooth, predictable motion over time. Even small changes in cage strength or surface condition can influence how the instrument feels to the surgeon in real procedures. This is why bearing specifications must be defined early. Cage design, cage material and raceway quality directly influence stiffness, wear behavior and long‑term performance at miniature scale. 👉 Have you ever questioned whether your ball‑bearing cage material truly survives repeated sterilization cycles?

Why is there a crocodile in the OR? 🐊 One miniature assembly in our portfolio is internally known as “Snappy.” Behind its crocodile-like jaw geometry lies the demanding reality of robot-assisted minimally invasive surgery. End effectors must be small, precise, and mechanically reliable to perform safe movements inside extremely confined anatomical spaces. “Snappy” demonstrates how miniature mechanical design enables stable force control and consistent motion at scales where microns already influence outcomes. Its characteristic form is not decorative but engineered for repeatable gripping behavior, defined motion, and dependable stiffness under load. Micro‑tolerances, bearing quality and integrated kinematics together create an assembly capable of delivering surgical precision in challenging OR environments. It is a clear example of how function‑integrated design can turn a tiny mechanism into a highly capable motion system. 👉 Which requirement matters most for next‑generation surgical end effectors?
