Meet Lali, a SNAP E&T Program Manager II with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services who has dedicated 10 years to serving the State of Nebraska. Lali oversees the SNAP Employment & Training program’s compliance, budget, reporting, policies, and performance. She also supports Workforce Coordinators, leads efforts to increase program participation and visibility, analyzes data, coordinates staff training, and builds partnerships that help strengthen services for SNAP recipients. What Lali enjoys most about her work is knowing that even though she does not provide direct case management, her work still makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Through SNAP E&T, Nebraskans can overcome barriers to employment, gain new skills and credentials, build confidence, and move toward greater self-sufficiency. Lali originally joined the State because she needed a job and someone gave her an opportunity. Over time, she discovered the impact of public service and the many opportunities available to grow.
