A thought-provoking post from our CEO Anurag. What matters most is now! Live for the moment!
“Live for the Moment” is a simple phrase, but its meaning is much deeper than we may understand at first. Over the past five to seven years, my interpretation of this message has evolved. I have noticed how easily our minds become occupied with the past or anxious about the future, often turning situations into problems before they arise. Through “Live for the Moment,” I have understood three important truths. First, most of the problems that once troubled us have already been resolved. Second, many of the difficulties we imagine for the future will arise but eventually pass. This leaves us with the most important question: What are we choosing to think about and experience today? I am writing a book about my life to share the many ups and downs I have experienced. At different stages, certain situations appeared overwhelming and impossible to resolve. Yet, with time, patience, effort, and the support of others, most found a solution. One of my greatest lessons has been to recognize and appreciate the "no-problem moments" of life. We are quick to notice what is wrong but rarely pause to acknowledge the moments when everything is simply all right. Giving importance to these ordinary, peaceful moments brings positivity into our lives and gives us the strength and clarity to face difficulties when they arise. “Live for the Moment” (LFTM) is a beautiful concept introduced by Mr. Shrik Mehta. Every year, he brings people together through an event that communicates valuable life lessons. What makes his approach special is that he speaks less about these ideas and instead creates experiences through which people understand and feel them for themselves. The event brings together business owners, professionals, leaders, and young people who are often so occupied with responsibilities, ambitions, and expectations that they forget to pause and reflect on what life truly means. People may arrive formally and remain within their usual social boundaries. Gradually, however, they relax, open up, and begin sharing their experiences and questions. The event brings them back to the ground, allowing them to reflect honestly and reconnect with themselves and one another. Mr. Mehta often reminds us to consider today as our happy day rather than waiting for tomorrow to bring happiness. If we do not pay attention to today, laugh freely, and appreciate what we already have, we may never truly enjoy life. Tomorrow is uncertain, but today is real. The event reminds us to pause and appreciate what we have worked so hard to achieve. Overall, “Live for the Moment” is more than an event. It is an experience that helps people regain confidence, find clarity, and reconnect with the simple joys of life. Thank you, Mr. Shrik Mehta, on behalf of all the attendees, for your generosity, blessings, and continued efforts to remind us of a timeless truth: The past has already passed. The future is yet to arrive. The only life we can truly live is the moment we have today.
