There was a great turnout for the City as Living Laboratory (CALL) Corona Plaza's recent tabling event! DEP attended and shared information on the Corona Cloudburst Hub, one of the City’s growing number of neighborhood-scale stormwater flood resiliency projects. Alongside several community organizations, including CommonPoint and Guardians of Flushing Bay, DEP and CALL celebrated the release of artist Emilio Martínez Poppe's Estamos en el Agua. This is a community artwork project created as part of CALL’s Water//Ways Cloudburst Initiative. It recounts the stories of Queens residents, bringing together historical maps and practical tools to confront the growing reality of Cloudbursts- sudden, intense rainstorms that lead to flooding.
