San Diego State University has officially topped out its new Life Sciences Building, marking steady progress on a project that will strengthen STEM education and research at an R1 institution. OCMI, Inc. (O'Connor Construction Management) is proud to serve as the construction management partner in delivering one of the University’s latest campus improvements. Designed as a dynamic, adaptable space, this facility will support the evolving needs of students and faculty while contributing to San Diego’s position as a leading hub for biotech and life sciences. Set to open in 2027, the project reflects a strong partnership with SDSU, OCMI, and the Design-Build team HENSEL PHELPS and SmithGroup. Congratulations to the California State University San Marcos team on reaching the topping out milestone for the Hunter Hall of Science and Engineering. This $110 million facility marks a significant step forward for a rapidly growing campus and reflects the coordination and disciplined execution of a strong project team, including HGA, C.W.
