OCP Contractors, Inc.  visited our Construction Carpentry program on January 16 to lead hands-on drywall finishing training with our junior students. Through demonstrations and one-on-one instruction, students gained real-world experience in a high-demand skill straight from industry professionals. A special shoutout to Isabella Diaz (Otsego), a Construction Carpentry senior participating in Early Job Placement at OCP, and Jennifer Thompson (Oak Harbor), a Construction Remodeling senior, for helping support the training. Thank you to OCP Contractors for investing in our students and making learning by doing possible! 👏 #PentaPride #SuccessReady #60yearsofshapingcareers

  • ✨Gold Coin Winner of 2025✨ When an OCP employee goes above and beyond in concerns to safety, they are awarded the Gold Coin. At the end of every year, all Gold Coin winners' names are entered into a drawing to win the big prize - $1,000. The 2025 winner was Jeff Coldren! From Jeff's Gold Coin Nomination: "Jeff Coldren, a newer OCP foreman in Columbus has quickly demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to safety that reflects our company core values. During a recent ceiling tile installation in a challenging and hard-to-access area, Jeff proactively requested a one-on-one with the GC and the on-site safety representative. He gathered his OCP co-workers to ensure a safe process was followed, despite the pressures of project acceleration and heightened safety oversight. Rather than taking shortcuts, Jeff chose to uphold safety standards and professionalism. His actions not only protected his crew but also reinforced a culture of safety and integrity on-site. Jeff’s initiative and judgment exemplify the kind of leadership we want on our projects."

  • We have a really special crew at Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute! Over the weekend we received the following message: "Hi! I’m not sure if your contractors are the ones working on the Cleveland clinic neurological building or not BUT if they are I want to say THANK YOU for making my 4 year old daughters day! That was the sweetest message and she was so happy to see them waving to her while she awaits for her heart transplant. So thank you." Thank you to our crew for bringing joy to others during tough times. Moments like these remind us that what we do goes far beyond the job site. *Shared with permission from the family

  • This is Edgar Marquez-Cortez, and we’d like to recognize him for going above and beyond. While leaving the job site recently, Edgar noticed a blind pedestrian crossing the street as a vehicle sped through the intersection. Edgar quickly yelled to warn both the pedestrian and the driver, helping prevent a serious accident. Thank you for looking out for the safety of others, Edgar.
