  • What does coordinated chronic pain care actually look like in practice? This video walks through what sets Override apart, from the structure of our interdisciplinary team to the evidence base behind our approach. If you've wondered whether virtual care can deliver the kind of comprehensive support your chronic pain patients need, this is a good place to start. Watch here.

  • One of the most consistent challenges in chronic pain care: the patients who need movement most are often the ones for whom movement feels most impossible. The barrier isn't motivation. It's that the standard options — gym, walking, traditional PT — can feel inaccessible or discouraging when pain is the constant variable. Summer creates a natural opportunity. For some patients, water is the first place movement has felt possible in years, lower impact, lower stakes, and easier to sustain. It's a small entry point that can rebuild a patient's relationship with their body. And that relationship matters. Research consistently shows that re-engaging chronic pain patients with movement, even gently, even incrementally, has meaningful downstream effects on pain sensitivity, mood, and function. The modality is secondary. The momentum is what counts. Our physical therapists work with each patient to find the entry point that's realistic for their body and their life, not just what's evidence-based on paper. https://hubs.la/Q04mfG1_0

  • One of the most common barriers to referring patients to comprehensive chronic pain care is uncertainty about coverage. Override works with a range of commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid plans to make interdisciplinary virtual care accessible so cost doesn't have to be the reason a patient doesn't get the support they need. If you're unsure whether your patients are covered, we can help you figure that out. https://hubs.la/Q04mfy340

  • Chronic pain patients are often frustrated by the endless cycle of referrals, waiting rooms, and new treatments. They've tried medication. They've done PT. They've seen specialists. And they're still not better. That's rarely a compliance problem. It's a care model problem. Chronic pain is multidimensional, involving the nervous system, psychology, movement, and function. Treatments that address only one dimension rarely hold. Override's interdisciplinary model was built specifically for this patient. Pain medicine, physical therapy, pain psychology, and coaching, coordinated in one virtual program. If you have patients who've exhausted the standard pathway, we'd welcome the conversation. 👉 https://hubs.la/Q04mdDd70

  • Looking for a resource to share with patients who are struggling to make sense of their chronic pain? This free guide walks through what's happening in the brain and body, why many common treatments fall short, and what a more comprehensive approach to care looks like. It's written for patients and it's accessible, clear, and grounded in pain neuroscience. A useful tool for providers who want to support patient education between appointments. • When we talk about chronic pain, we're often focused on the patient in front of us. But chronic pain affects households, not just individuals. Caregivers like partners, adult children, close friends can also absorb a significant emotional and logistical burden that rarely gets addressed in a clinical setting. Asking one simple question — "who supports you at home?" — can open a conversation that changes the trajectory of a patient's care. At Override, whole-person care includes acknowledging the system around the patient, not just the patient alone.

  • GLP-1 medications are generating real conversation in pain management right now and for good reason. Emerging research suggests these drugs may ease arthritis and joint pain through both mechanical relief (reduced joint load from weight loss) and biological pathways (reduced systemic inflammation). The evidence is strongest in obesity-related osteoarthritis, with early data suggesting potential in inflammatory arthritis as well. For providers managing chronic pain patients, it's a developing area worth watching — particularly as more patients arrive asking about it. Full article: https://hubs.la/Q04mfrrC0

  • It's one of the simplest conversations to have with a chronic pain patient and one of the most overlooked. Hydration. Sleep. Stress. Movement. These aren't soft lifestyle tips. They're interconnected factors that directly influence how pain is processed and experienced. For patients managing chronic conditions, the cumulative effect of small daily habits matters more than most realize. What lifestyle factors do you find most underaddressed in your chronic pain patients?

  • For some patients, pain medicine is an important bridge that works best when it’s part of a bigger plan. That’s why Override integrates pain medicine with behavioral health, physical therapy, and coaching. Providers can stay focused on their patients while our team supports the day-to-day work of chronic pain care. The goal is simple. We help patients get better support, while helping practices manage complex cases more sustainably.

  • 21 years ago, on a remote stretch of road in Montana, Becky Curtis, our Director of Strategic Partnerships, survived a rollover crash that broke her neck. Doctors weren't sure she'd make it through the night. She did. And two years into recovery, she met a different kind of pain, the kind that doesn't show up on a scan and doesn't go away with rest. That experience led her to build Take Courage Coaching, teaching people in chronic pain the self-management skills no one had taught her. Now Becky brings that same firsthand understanding to her work at Override, helping us build partnerships rooted in what coordinated, human-centered pain care can actually look like. She shares her full story in the Summer 2026 issue of Workers' First Watch, published by the Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group.
