Meet Jihoon Lim, our Founding Engineer. Jihoon brings extensive expertise in UI architecture and design systems to building the future of assessment in higher education. He was previously a Senior Frontend Engineer at Toss, a Korean Fintech Decacorn, famously known for leading design & frontend practices. That's a wrap on ASEE 2026! We loved meeting so many educators and discussing how AI can help make grading more efficient while preserving meaningful feedback for students. One of the highlights of this year's conference was seeing Pensive featured in faculty presentations. We were especially excited to see Dr. Yan Tang of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University present her paper, Assessing the Effectiveness and Efficiency of Pensive Grader: An AI-Supported System for Grading Handwritten Work, sharing her research on using Pensive to support handwritten assessment. After calibration, Pensive reached 98% agreement on analytical questions in her mechanical engineering course. Thanks again to everyone who made this year's ASEE such a great experience.
