We brought the ⚡ energy ⚡to SF Climate Week, where the only real beat was speed to power to mine the data center gold rush. As always, the week doubled as an excuse to convene our current circle and meet as many new founders and future founders as we could. 1,000+ climate folks joined us across six events in three days. Last week we went long breakfast and hosted back-to-back morning jams. Only in New York do you get this much climate, capital, and compute packed into a few blocks before 9am. We took over our favorite cafe (aka second office) for Energy & Eggs where LPs & GPs hit the protein and talked shop. Big thanks to our friends and SPV experts at Sydecar for helping make it happen. The next morning we brought back Bagels > Panels, with Foley Hoag LLP, to dig into data centers and the cost of compute. Funny thing – in a city where all the credit and infra funds sit, the compute folks are curiously hard to find. We kept coming back to the same topic… what does the capital stack for compute actually look like? More to come.
