Additive manufacturing moves designs from concept to capability faster. We've completed a successful demonstration test of our 3D-printed TJ150 engine. The test included major static and rotating hardware, and focused on validating material behavior in an operational environment, as well as demonstrating durability aligned with mission demands. Pratt & Whitney has made targeted internal investments to advance additive manufacturing for the TJ150, not only strengthening its long-term producibility and scalability strategy, but also leveraging key learnings to benefit other programs, such as the Pratt & Whitney Valox engine family.
