Every job teaches the next one. ProShop is the system of execution for precision machine shops.

About us

ProShop is the system of execution for precision machine shops with more than 700 shops running on ProShop today. Most ERPs store what your shop did. ProShop learns from it. Every job your shop runs — what it cost, how long it took, what went right, what drifted — feeds the next one. Your newest estimator quotes with the same evidence your best veteran uses. Your second-shift operator sets up like the person who's been on that machine for fifteen years. Every job teaches the next one. This also means your next audit isn't a fire drill. The shops running on ProShop get compliance as a byproduct — the evidence builds itself, job by job. ProShop was born on the floor of a precision aerospace machine shop. The founders built what they needed to run their own shop, and what couldn't find anywhere else. That DNA remains: built by machinists, for machinists. With Chip — ProShop's AI — the system now remembers, surfaces, guides, flags, and learns from every job across your entire operation. Guided execution puts the right knowledge in front of the right person at the point of work. Living knowledge captures institutional expertise so it never retires. And early warning flags problems before they hit the floor — from schedule conflicts to CMMC compliance. The result: shops running on ProShop see improved throughput and on-time delivery, and measurably shorter lead times. The shops pulling ahead aren't the biggest or the best-funded — they're the ones where every job compounds what the shop knows.

  • Last week, the DoW suspended CMMC Phase II — but the DFARS 252.204-7012 clause didn't move an inch. Today, we’re making DFARS 7012 compliance easier than ever with our FedCloud hosting environment. FedCloud, running on AWS GovCloud, has been independently assessed by a FedRAMP-recognized 3PAO against the FedRAMP Moderate baseline. That matters because your ERP is where your CUI lives. If the environment hosting that data doesn't meet the FedRAMP Moderate baseline, your compliance has a gap, no matter how strong your other controls are. With this assessment, FedCloud customers now inherit roughly 40 controls at the infrastructure and application layer, backed by a Customer Responsibility Matrix showing exactly what we cover, what's shared, and what's yours. • A system of record tells you what happened. By the time you read it, the job already ran. The margin was already made or lost. The bad part already shipped. For thirty years, that's what software in our industry has been. A place to log the work after the work was done. The floor did the real thing, then somebody typed it in. But a record never ran a job. People did. And the knowledge that runs a job well lives in a few of those people. How to set this part up. Which vendor slips on lead time. Where the margin actually is. When that person retires or takes a Friday off, a record can't run the job in their place. So we rebuilt ProShop to do more than remember. ProShop is now a system of execution. It guides the next operator through a setup the way your best one would. A scheduling conflict gets flagged three days before it reaches the floor. A margin problem surfaces while there's still time to re-quote. The compliance record is captured as the work runs, so the audit is already handled. The record still gets written. Only now it's written by a system that helped you get the job right the first time. That's the shift. From software that remembers what your shop did, to software that helps your shop do it. That's where precision manufacturing is heading. Your shop can get there first. Meet Chip here: https://lnkd.in/eHGd_pud

Following up on the stat we shared earlier today... How do those top shops keep running indefinitely when their best machinist or estimator walks out the door? They don't rely on human memory. They rely on a system that captures it. Come see exactly how they do it on June 24th:

  • We surveyed 144 precision machine shops. One number stopped us cold. 52% said their shop starts to fall apart inside a week if their key person is out. Not a month. A week . The other shops run indefinitely. Same trade. Same machines. Same kind of work. We found the same split in how shops quote, how they bid, and which contracts they walk away from. Three different questions, one pattern underneath all of them. On June 24, Cutting Edge shows what the shops on the right side of that line figured out. Save your spot: https://lnkd.in/eCaKKVDJ

One of the most common questions we hear from defense machine shops is: "Where do we even start with CMMC?" It's a fair question. Where applicable, CMMC Level 2 requires shops to demonstrate compliance across 110 security controls and 14 domains. That's a lot to wrap your head around. And with the CMMC Level 2 deadline only 6 months away, the clock is ticking. That's why we built our most comprehensive CMMC educational resource yet. Our new Defense Machine Shop's Complete CMMC Compliance Guide walks you through the full journey: → How to identify and scope your CUI → What each of the 14 control domains requires of your shop → How to run an honest self-assessment and interpret your results → What goes into a System Security Plan → The implementation timeline you need to meet the November 2026 deadline CMMC Level 2 isn't applicable to every defense contract. However, if you even suspect that your shop's CUI data requires CMMC compliance, this is the guide for you. • We’ve spent 3 months breaking down CMMC: the framework, shared responsibility, and the SSP. Now it’s time to hear from shops that are actually living it. On May 20th, Taylor A. from ZYCI CNC Machining, James Marzilli from Marzilli Machine Co., Tyler Kowalczik from Component Products Corp., and Denny Smith from Northside Machine Co. join us to share their unfiltered CMMC journey: Why they started, what surprised them, and what they’d tell you if you’re on the fence. Prosper-Tech Machine & Tool LLC Machine & Tool had a growth problem, but it wasn't due to a lack of work. It was three problems compounding all at once: → A reactive commercial strategy → Disconnected internal systems → An AS9102 inspection workflow bottlenecked around one person How did they solve three challenges at once? They built a connected stack. ⚙️ ProShop as the operational backbone. 📋 GroundControl automated AS9102 documentation. 📈 AeroGrowth sharpened how they go to market. What was the net result? A new monthly revenue record, their first net-new aerospace customer, and a cold inbound lead that became a loyal customer in about five weeks. The biggest win wasn't any single metric. It was the ecosystem of strength that emerged with all three layers working together. That's what sustainable growth looks like in aerospace. • This is what it's all about! S Scott Shortess and the ADVANCED PMC team are absolutely crushing it. Keep up the great work!

Paul Van Metre & Mehul Shah 200+ new parts. 2 New programs. Short timelines and urgent deadlines. Zero room for confusion. That’s the environment our team at Advanced PMC has been working through, and the new integration between ProShop and Ground Control has been a major win for our Quality Engineers and Planners. Thank you Raul Chaires Lermas for leading this implementation. ProShop continues to be the backbone for managing our shop floor, quality, documentation, and execution. Ground Control has added another layer of confidence by helping us complete the external work up front before we ever push the green button. For aerospace manufacturing, that matters. When the team can organize outside processing requirements, FAIR documentation, supplier details, and quality expectations before releasing work into production, we reduce friction, improve visibility, and give our machinists, quality team, and production team a cleaner path to execute. The feedback from our team has been incredible. This is what good manufacturing technology should do: help the right people do the right work at the right time, with fewer surprises. Appreciate the teams at ProShop and Ground Control for continuing to build tools that understand the realities of precision manufacturing. #AdvancedPMC #AerospaceManufacturing #PrecisionManufacturing #ProShopERP #GroundControl #AS9100 #ManufacturingTechnology #MachineShop #QualityManagement #FAI
