The proposed Remote Therapeutic Monitoring changes in the CY2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule have the rehab therapy world talking, and for good reason. Like many of you, we’ve been working through the proposed changes, focused on understanding the spirit behind them and making sure any perspective we bring back to CMS reflects what we believe is best for the therapy industry, for patients, and for keeping RTM true to what it was intended to be. As the pioneers of RTM in the rehab industry, we believe it is our responsibility to lead from the front. Limber's north star has always been to extend care beyond the walls of the clinic and keep patients engaged in their recovery to achieve better outcomes. We have been doing just that and have served hundreds of thousands of patients with our partners. The evidence is clear. Patients engaged in RTM between visits stay more active in their recovery and reach better outcomes. Many of you told us you didn't have the resources to provide that between-visit support yourselves, so we built a model where our clinicians work in therapeutic alliance with your staff therapists, always under the direction of the supervising provider. We’ve seen what happens when it works: the patient who stayed engaged because someone was encouraging them at home, the setback caught early because the data showed it in time, the therapist who walked into the next visit already knowing how the patient had engaged in their home exercise program. Our team has begun working alongside clinicians, industry groups, and advocates, so the rehab therapy perspective is well represented before the comment period closes on September 14. If RTM matters for how you care for your patients, we’d value your voice in this. Comment below or follow along, and as we finalize how best to get involved, we’ll share ways to make your perspective heard, including with CMS.

  • The market is moving toward interoperability, and that's a win for every rehab therapy practice. But not all interoperability is the same. Receiving a referral electronically is the entry point. The efficiency gains come from what the system does next, automatically. Every manual step in that chain is front-office time spent on data entry instead of patients. We broke down what to look for, and what to ask, before you take any vendor's word for it: https://hubs.ly/Q04q84fD0  Four questions separate true automation from simple ingestion:

"That's the way it's always been." ➡️ "Not anymore." For rehab therapy practices, revenue cycle management has become one of the biggest operational burdens. Many organizations spend 7% or more of their collections just on the people, processes, and systems required to get paid. But what if that didn't have to be the cost of doing business? Hear why reimagining revenue cycle technology is one of the biggest opportunities to transform the rehab industry—and why the status quo is ready for disruption. ▶️ Get an exclusive preview of the philosophy changing RCM forever. Then, join us in Austin as Raintree CEO, Nick Hedges, takes the stage at TherapyCon ‘26. 🎙️ Nick Hedges, Povilas Gudzius, PhD

  • Our CEO Nick Hedges on why we acquired Spike Technologies, and what agentic AI means for rehab therapy's most expensive problem:

This week, Raintree announced its acquisition Spike Technologies, bringing agentic voice AI to the revenue cycle, natively inside the Raintree platform. Coming up, Raintree CEO Nick Hedges, Spike co-founder and CEO, Povilas Gudzius, and Raintree Chief Strategy Officer, Sarina Richard (Hickey), discuss this transformative event for the rehab therapy software space.
