We are the first organization to treat Tech Sales as a survival skill. By equipping diverse, overlooked talent with the exact Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies used by giants like Salesforce and LinkedIn, we empower our candidates to unlock the "hidden job market" and build generational wealth.

  • This is a great reminder that your job search should be proactive, not passive. Research the company. Reach out to people. Ask questions. Build relationships. Find ways to stand out before your resume ever gets opened. Those habits don't just help you land a job, they're the same habits you'll use once you're hired. Keep going Ciza Sadoke!

I recently realized that I was approaching my job search the wrong way. Like many candidates, I was spending most of my time applying online, connecting with people on LinkedIn, and hoping my application would stand out. After a conversation with Edie Foganoli from Upstart 13, I started looking at the process differently. One lesson that really stuck with me was this: Treat your job search like a prospecting campaign. Instead of applying and waiting, identify the people involved in the hiring process. Research the company before reaching out. Send a personalized message that shows you've done your homework. And the biggest lesson for me: PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL. That hit me hard because it's something I wasn't doing. If a company has a public number, call them. Introduce yourself. Express your interest, start a conversation. I realized I was relying heavily on applications and LinkedIn outreach, but I wasn't doing enough to get in front of the people making hiring decisions. As someone currently developing my skills as a BDR through RE:WORK TRAINING, this conversation reinforced an important lesson: the same prospecting skills that help generate business opportunities can also help create career opportunities. Thank you, Edie Foganoli, for taking the time to share your advice and encouragement. I'm looking forward to putting these lessons into practice.

  • Some of the best conversations you'll have in your career won't always lead to an interview. Or a referral. Or a job offer. And that's okay. Not every conversation needs an outcome. Sometimes, it's enough to learn how someone got to where they are. To hear a perspective you've never considered. To celebrate a milestone with someone who's worked hard for it. Over time, those conversations become familiar faces. Familiar faces become trusted relationships. And occasionally, one of those relationships turns into an opportunity you never saw coming. But if every interaction starts with, "What can this person do for me?" people can usually tell. The professionals who leave the biggest impression are the ones who are genuinely curious, generous with their time, and invested in the people they meet and not just the possibilities those people represent. Build relationships because people are worth knowing. The opportunities are simply a bonus. 🤷♀️ What's one conversation you've had recently that's stuck with you or changed the way you think?

4+ years in tech sales. Still growing. That's Brianna Mulbah-Gildersleve, M.Ed. She came through RE:WORK TRAINING in 2020. No tech background required. Just willingness to learn and a community that believed in her before the industry did. She didn't just land a job. She built a career. Account Executive. 4+ years deep. Still in the game. Here's what people don't understand about workforce development: Getting someone a job is the easy part. Helping them stay? Grow? Get promoted? That's the real measure of impact. We've helped over 1,000 people earn more than $111 million in salary. But numbers like that only matter if people are still thriving years later. Brianna is proof. Not just that the training works. But that the people we serve can compete with anyone in the room. And win. To the job seekers watching this: You don't need permission to bet on yourself. You need access. Training. Community. And the willingness to stay in the game. Congrats Brianna. The community is proud of you. #AlumniSpotlight #WorkforceDevelopment #TechSales

  • A great program doesn't just help someone get a job. It helps them build skills that last. At RE:WORK TRAINING, we focus on teaching relationship building, communication, prospecting, and career ownership, skills that create opportunities throughout a career, not just during a job search. Today, we're highlighting Justin Hill, a RE:WORK TRAINING alum who has continued to build on those skills throughout nearly four years in tech and currently serves as a Senior BDR at Gong. That's what success looks like to us. Not just getting in the game but staying in it. Congratulations, Justin. 👏 And to partners like Zscaler and the many others who invest their time, resources, and expertise into our community, thank you. Your support helps us to help others #getthiswork #StillInTheGame #AlumniSpotlight #CareerGrowth #REWORKTraining

  • Behind every number is a person, a family, and a story of transformation. This report reflects what's possible when talented people are given access, support, and a community that believes in them. Thank you to our staff, volunteers, alumni, corporate partners, sponsors, and everyone who continues to make this work possible. 📊 Read our 2025 Impact Report below.

  • The future of sales won't be built by looking in the same places everyone else does. It will be built by investing in people. Every day, talented individuals are overlooked not because they lack potential, but because they lack access. That's why, at RE:WORK TRAINING, we combine hands-on training in prospecting, cold calling, objection handling, CRM management, LinkedIn outreach, and interview preparation, the same skills professionals are expected to use on day one in a tech sales role. Because we don't believe talent is defined by a resume. We believe it's revealed when people are given the chance to prove what they're capable of. If you're ready to unlock your potential, apply today. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/efa9Vtp8
