The flavor wheel maximizes line productivity — compatible SKUs, quick flushes, continuous output. New flavors break that rhythm. Incompatible or untested combinations force full clean-in-place cycles, and without enough run history to build confidence, quality teams default to worst-case every time. Laminar’s process-aware AI reads chemical composition at a sub-second level across every CIP and product changeover step. When the process is clean, the cycle ends — no timer required. Customers are already expanding their flavor wheel with validated rinse steps on combinations they couldn't touch before. Teams save time, utilities, and product across their operations with Laminar’s process aware autonomy. Watch the full conversation with Jonathan Mindnich: https://lnkd.in/eaQnaCeT

"The industry's fundamental inefficiencies have gone unseen and unsolved for decades. Laminar exists to change that." In the World Economic Forum's announcement naming Laminar a 2026 Technology Pioneer, CEO & Co-Founder Annie L. described why process manufacturing's moment has arrived — and what it means to bring Physical AI to the world's most demanding production environments. "Laminar is the first physical AI company delivering full autonomy at scale, across six continents in live manufacturing environments. When a factory can see and respond to what is happening inside its processes in real time, the factory can run both sustainably and productively. We're proud to bring that mission to the World Economic Forum and the Technology Pioneer community." Catch the full story and read the announcement: https://lnkd.in/eA-7XTMT

A veteran operator at a beverage facility could tell when a cleaning cycle was complete by watching foam through the sight glass. No timer. No conductivity readings. Decades of pattern recognition. When he retired, the team added fifteen extra minutes to every cycle, just to be sure the lines were clean. Across three lines running four cycles a day, that single buffer costs over 700 hours of production time per year. This is how inefficiency becomes institutionalized. The Great Retirement drains F&B manufacturing of this expertise fast. 40% of new hires leave within their first year. The knowledge needed to run these lines exists entirely in the heads of people who've been doing the job for 20 or 30 years. Meanwhile, SKU complexity has exploded. One sauce manufacturer runs 50 batches across 25 different SKUs in the same timeframe they once ran a single formulation. With that, plants have to rely on process aware AI to run self-driving CIP and changeovers that treat each cycle to condition and catch off-spec product instantly. Physical AI shows up in many forms in discrete manufacturing: spatially aware cameras, LiDAR, and robotic arms moving through space. Process manufacturing calls for a different kind of Physical AI — one that observes chemistry rather than space. In process manufacturing: • Environments are never the same twice. Variables such as temperature, chemistry, and line conditions change the process in real time. • Timer-based recipes run on static and worst-case assumptions, instead of real-time line conditions — wastes water, chemicals, energy, and production capacity. Process-Aware autonomy turns static, timer-based cycles in process manufacturing into self-driving processes, where factories run both productively and sustainably. Laminar CRO Sanjay Rajan was on The Lantern by MGMT Boston. In his conversation with Matt Crane, he shared his insights on: ‣ What's driving adoption of Process-Aware AI across 6 of the top 10 F&B manufacturers in the world ‣ What are the most important GTM lessons he's taken from his time building out GTM teams. ‣ His litmus test for a working GTM playbook: how fast can a new salesperson get productive? Thank you to MGMT Boston for for showcasing the work Laminar is doing to bring Process-Aware AI to process manufacturing.
Welcome Sanjay Rajan, CRO at Laminar on this episode of 🔥 The Lantern 🔥 Laminar builds process awareness into chemical manufacturing, reading composition inside pipes and tanks in sub-seconds and making real-time decisions from it. The same way humanoid robots bring spatial awareness to physical environments! 🚀 What is Laminar building in 2026? 🚀 6 (and soon 7) of the Top 10 food and beverage manufacturers in the world are Laminar customers, with adoption accelerating over the past 18 months. Laminar is bringing process-aware AI to chemical process environments, where nothing is visible to the eye. Their patented spectral sensors read composition fast, and their process-aware machine learning models understand what's inside a tank to better handle valve openings, closings, and process change. Customers have begun to understand that Laminar is doing something genuinely unique that fundamentally changes how they view their manufacturing process. Then they need more of it! 🤔 What has Sanjay learned building Go-To-Market teams? 🤔 After building GTM teams at Tulip, Tamr, and Siemens, his hardest-won lesson is deceptively simple: know exactly who your customer is. Don't sell everything to everybody. Stay disciplined early so you can learn everything about your business. His litmus test is to see how fast can a new salesperson get productive? At Laminar, it's a month. In companies without a working playbook, it can be a year, and they still aren't sure what they're doing! 🤝 How can we help Laminar grow? 🤝 Sanjay calls Boston the intellectual capital of the world, a place where people move because they want interesting problems to solve, not because they're chasing the next platform shift. Laminar's engineering team has been there since day one. If you want to solve hard problems with a team that's wedded to the work, Laminar is building a top tier AI company right here at Greentown Labs. The Lantern is brought to you by MGMT Boston, Rise73 & Invest Northern Ireland – Americas this month

Physical AI rewrote discrete manufacturing — robotic arms assembling cars, vision systems inspecting electronics, autonomous logistics moving across the floor. However, spatial intelligence can't transplant into process manufacturing, where the product flows, reacts, and changes chemical composition in real time. Process manufacturing demands a different kind of Physical AI — built from the ground up for a world of fluids and chemistry: Process-Aware Sensors — read chemistry rather than space, at the molecular level Process-Aware AI — models trained on the specific behavior of each line Process-Aware Insights — real-time action based on what the line actually needs Together they make Process-Aware Autonomy: every process ends the moment it should, production capacity increases, and process manufacturers run both sustainably and productively. Published in the World Economic Forum, Laminar CEO and Co-Founder Annie L. breaks down what Process-Aware Autonomy means for process manufacturers. Read it here → https://lnkd.in/gytMv7rX
