Where all children are equal in the saddle!
About us
Saddle Up!’s mission is to provide children and youth with disabilities the opportunity to grow and develop through therapeutic, educational and recreational activities with horses. Our Programs Saddle Up! serves children and youth with disabilities between the ages of 2 and 26 years old. Eligibility requirements differ depending on the program. Saddle Up! is a PATH International Premier Accredited Center which provides high-quality programs in the field of equine-assisted services. Based on your child’s needs and interests, we can provide Adaptive Riding, Therapy Services, Adaptive Horsemanship, Fun on the Farm, Equestrian Club, Interactive Vaulting, From the Ground Up, and/or Alumni Transitions. Why the horse? Nothing can compare to the power of the horse. The auto industry has put “horsepower” into their engines for decades, but there is a “horse power” beyond strength and speed that only a real horse can provide. Saddle Up! partners with their herd to offer children and youth with disabilities a unique environment to grow and develop. Our horses provide movement, support, learning opportunities, strength, stability, companionship, and much more to participants in all of our different programs.

At Saddle Up!, we believe in the life-changing power of the horse and the incredible potential within every rider. For 35 years, we have provided children and young adults with disabilities the opportunity to grow in confidence, strength, independence, and connection through therapeutic, educational, and recreational equine-assisted services. As we continue to expand our impact across Middle Tennessee, we are searching for our next Director of Development to help lead this exciting chapter of growth. This is more than a fundraising role. It is an opportunity to help shape the future of an organization where “All Children are Equal in the Saddle.” Our next leader will help advance a transformational expansion project that includes a new covered arena, expanded therapy spaces, a sensory room, volunteer center, and equine-assisted learning classrooms designed to serve even more riders and families. We are looking for a strategic and relationship-driven development professional who believes deeply in mission-based work, understands the importance of donor engagement, and is excited to connect a passionate community of supporters to meaningful impact. From major gifts and corporate partnerships to capital campaign strategy and community engagement, this role will directly help shorten waitlists, expand access to services, and strengthen the future of Saddle Up!. If you are passionate about creating lasting impact, building authentic relationships, and helping children and young adults discover they can do more than they ever imagined, we would love to connect with you. Join us as we build a future where every child who needs Saddle Up! has the opportunity to experience the confidence, joy, and healing found through the horse-human connection. Events like the Music Country Grand Prix are about more than a love of horses—they represent a powerful intersection of sport, community, and meaningful engagement. Hunter jumper participants bring a unique level of discipline, precision, and excellence to the arena. They are dedicated athletes, supported by families, trainers, and networks that value quality experiences and strong community connections. This creates an audience that is highly engaged, loyal, and influential. For sponsors, this is where the opportunity becomes clear. Saddle Up!’s equestrian events offer access to a high-value audience that extends well beyond traditional “horse lovers.” These are individuals and organizations who invest in experiences, support causes that matter, and align with brands that reflect their values. By partnering with Saddle Up!, sponsors are not only gaining visibility at a premier equestrian event—they are aligning with a mission that delivers real impact for children and young adults with disabilities. It’s where brand, purpose, and community come together in a meaningful way. #SaddleUpNashville #MusicCountryGrandPrix #Sponsorship #CommunityImpact #EquestrianSport

We marked an exciting milestone for Saddle Up! as we officially broke ground on our campus expansion. This moment represents far more than new construction—it reflects our commitment to growing alongside the needs of the children, young adults, and families we serve. As demand continues to increase, this expansion will allow us to enhance our programs, increase access, and create spaces that support even greater impact through therapeutic, educational, and recreational experiences with horses. We are proud to partner with Gensler and R.C. Mathews Contractor, whose expertise and shared vision are helping bring this project to life. Together, we are building a space that will serve our riders, families, volunteers, and community for generations to come. For more than 35 years, Saddle Up! has been a place where confidence is built, connections are formed, and lives are changed. This next chapter ensures we can continue that legacy—while expanding our reach and deepening our impact. Grateful for the partners, supporters, and community who made this day possible.
