New year, same mental load? 😮💨 For most families, the hard part of keeping everything running isn’t staying organized. It's that all the plans — the schedules, grocery lists, and spirit weeks — live in one person's head. We asked Phil Boucher, M.D., pediatrician and dad of six, what parents can do to lighten the load. His take? The reset most families actually need isn’t doing more — it’s sharing more. “Small shifts, like shared routines, visible plans, and collective ownership, can dramatically reduce stress and create more calm in everyday family life. When the mental load is no longer invisible, it becomes lighter for everyone.” Read the full blog to see how sharing the mental load can help families work better together: https://lnkd.in/gywijTZ4

🏆 Skylight Calendar Max was just named a 2025 Parenting Award winner by Good Housekeeping, just in time for back-to-school season! From packed lunches to jam-packed schedules, things get hectic fast this time of year. That's why we built Cal Max—to help families see everything in one place, stay on the same page, and maybe even make it out the door on time. We’re proud to be recognized, and even prouder to know it’s making a difference for the parents who use it every day. See the full list of winners here: https://lnkd.in/gRV8uycN

  • “I have told my kids for years that my tattoo is temporary and I put it on every day.” – Mom, 48 “I once forgot to do the laundry and had my kid go commando all day.” – Dad, 29 "Not sure what’s tougher—the guilt of being away, or the chaos when I’m home.” - Mom, 50 Over the past month, we asked parents to share their anonymous confessions, and more than 1,000 responded. So today, Skylight is launching something new: a place to say the quiet part out loud. Skylight Confessions is a safe, anonymous space for parents to share what they’re really carrying, and to feel a little less alone. Why? Because at Skylight, we believe families work best when they work together, and that starts by saying the hard stuff out loud. It’s raw, sometimes hilarious, always real and built on one truth: you’re not the only one. Take a peek. Read a few. Add your own: skylightconfessions.com

Today's The New York Times feature by Eliza Shapiro is proof that tools like Skylight are part of a growing conversation about how families share the mental load, communicate better, and find a little more ease in the mess of modern life. We know tech won't solve everything, but we do believe it can bring clarity, connection, and fewer “wait, who was supposed to do that?” moments. We're proud to be in this with you! 📍 Read the full article below:
