Today, we launched the Bitcoin Merchant Community: https://lnkd.in/gyBW_NSF The idea is simple: for bitcoin to become everyday money, merchants need to accept it. But first, they’ll need a reason to. This new community helps merchants understand how bitcoin lets them keep more from every sale, and gives bitcoiners clear, approachable ways to explain bitcoin. It includes persuasive leave-behind materials for individuals to use, and directions to a Facebook group where merchants can connect with their peers, ask questions, and get started with bitcoin. For now, if you want to onboard a merchant, you can pick up a plushie and a letter for them at Bitcoin Park in Austin and Nashville, ATL BitLab in Atlanta, The Space in Denver, or Presidio Bitcoin in San Francisco. You can also download a simple version online, or reach out if you’d like to help distribute kits in your local community.
