Updates

  • Amazon is cutting product title limits from 200 characters to 75, effective July 27. Any title not updated by then will be gradually rewritten by Amazon's AI. This isn't just a character limit change, it restructures how keyword strategy works across the entire listing. Stackline has updated Beacon's Content Generation module and Advisor to help brands draft, review, and optimize Amazon-compliant titles and item highlights directly within the platform. July 27 is only 11 days away: https://lnkd.in/g_G5V4nY

Prime Day 2026 captured how this year's shopper has changed. Event-week spending came in 7% below last year, while year-to-date sales are up 6%. The growth didn't leave. It moved beyond the event. Inside the week: Beauty grew 17% to $1B, Face Skin Care took the #1 spot on all of Amazon, and brands like Nintendo, Nike, and eufy posted double-digit gains against the trend. The intentional shopper is here to stay. See the full breakdown in our Prime Day 2026 recap: https://lnkd.in/gC6uVfh2

  • Stackline surveyed 1,500 consumers before Prime Day 2026, and again after it ended. The full dataset captures how the week unfolded across categories, retailers, and platforms. Consumers arrived more purposeful than they predicted. Stocking up dominated. General browsing collapsed. 36% used AI to make decisions, and Alexa for Shopping is nearly level with ChatGPT in actual usage. Nearly half also shopped Walmart's competing event. More than a third checked Target. The sale week now spans the entire retail landscape, and the category and spend data reflects it. • We surveyed 1,500 consumers immediately after Amazon announced Prime Day 2026. The data reveals how shoppers are planning to buy, what deals drive conversion, and how AI is reshaping product discovery heading into June 23. Brands that activate this week with the right promotions, on-platform visibility, and content structured for AI discovery are best positioned to win. • Amazon's rebranding of Rufus to Alexa for Shopping signals something bigger than a name change. It's a fundamental shift in how shoppers discover and buy. Away from keyword matching and toward contextual relevance. Who a product is for, when they use it, why it belongs in their life. Most PDPs were built for the old model. The brands that update them for this one will have a meaningful advantage at Prime Day 2026 and beyond. The best page you have today can be better tomorrow. • Shoppers don't follow a single path to purchase anymore. They search on Amazon, Walmart, and Target. They ask ChatGPT and Alexa to help them research, compare, and decide. Most brands are tracking one of those channels. Topics tracks both, connecting retail search and AI visibility into a single view of category demand. The brands that win tomorrow are reading these signals today: https://lnkd.in/gKBPw8Ne

  • Stackline clients are experts at building great analyses. The hard part is keeping them current week after week. That's exactly what Templates and Schedules was built to solve. Brands can now convert any analysis into a reusable workflow that runs automatically on a recurring cadence. Buy box alerts. Competitive launch trackers. Category threat reports. SEO rank monitoring. Set it once, and Advisor handles the rest. The methodology never drifts. The analysis means the same thing every time it runs. And teams spend their time on decisions, not setup.
