A few weeks into my internship at Strategy Engineering and Consulting, LLC, as a Civil Engineering Intern. On the engineering side, I've been diving into offshore jacket platform engineering — understanding how these massive offshore structures are designed, detailed, fabricated, and launched — and I'm now beginning to model and analyze them in SACS. On the project management side, I've been sitting in on project meetings, working alongside our project controls lead to sharpen the project controls framework that keeps cost, schedule, and progress on track, and taking part in internal audits. Getting to work across the engineering and the management of it at the same time has been the most valuable part so far, and I'm looking forward to taking on more across both.
