Surae Cole started behind the counter at a Subway in Boscobel, Wis. in 1999. Nearly three decades later, she bought it! Surae walked in as a college student, with a strong work ethic and genuine love for her community. And she never left. Over 27 years, she rose from Sandwich Artist™ to restaurant manager and became the heart of the place. This year, Surae and her husband, Matt, made it official, becoming the franchisees of the very location where it all began. Founders Paula and Randy Sheckler, who opened the restaurant in 1995, couldn't be prouder. "Surae has run the Boscobel Subway like it was her own for many years. Last month, CEO Jonathan Fitzpatrick and Artemio Garza, our President for Latin America and the Caribbean, headed to Mexico, one of our fastest-growing markets.   They visited restaurants, met with franchisees and saw firsthand the passion that’s fueling our growth there. They also tried Golazos, our newest sub shaped like a soccer ball and built specifically for guests in Mexico. It’s one example of how we’re working with franchisees to innovate in this market, bringing guests the flavor, freshness and quality they expect from Subway.   Thanks to the local team and franchisees for the warm welcome.

Franchisees and their teams are the heart of our business, and there’s no better way to support their success than meeting with them face-to-face.
