Spaghetti Works Apartments was a great historic rehab project for Sunflower Development Group to be partnered in...and happy to see it move to the hands of a local and capable group in Crain Company. And excited to see what their team has planned as they grow into downtown Kansas City!
The building has sold for the first time since the historic warehouse was converted in 2019 into upscale apartment units.

Today we celebrated the "Topping Off" of the new East side of the revamped David Booth Memorial Stadium at The University of Kansas. All lights are up and we're ready to wave the wheat this coming Fall. While construction will be ongoing through the 2026 season, full capacity returns in 2027, and the fan experience will be unlike anything else in college football. Thankful to our incredible partners at Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate, JE Dunn Construction, Clark Construction Group, HNTB, Multistudio, and many others who are working every day to turn the vision into reality. Sunflower Development Group is proud to be a part of the team delivering this Phase 2 of the Gateway District, including the complete redevelopment of the stadium's east side, a new hotel, student housing, and mixed-use retail, all to create a year-round destination that will serve as a massive economic catalyst for City of Lawrence, KS and The University of Kansas. Phase 2 will be fully complete by June 2028, just in time for the start of the Fall semester.
