  • In honor of Superior's 67th anniversary, we are highlighting some incredible Superior alumni, showing how Superior jumpstarted their careers! Last but not least, we highlight Roger Bayne! Following in the footsteps of his father, who worked with us in the 80s, Roger joined Superior in 1991, starting his career in the BLS car at the Elmhurst station. While working at Superior, Roger pursued his paramedic education, graduating in 1993. His commitment to EMS runs deep, as his daughter, Katelyn, also worked at Superior while attending nursing school, making it a proud family legacy of three generations! Roger now serves as a Battalion Chief and EMS Coordinator with the Addison Fire Protection District. He credits his successful start in the EMS field to the invaluable experiences and training he received at Superior. Join us in celebrating Roger and the Bayne family, and all our alumni who have made a lasting impact in the EMS community! 💙🚑 #SuperiorAlumni #ems

  • In honor of Superior's 67th anniversary, we are highlighting some incredible Superior alumni, showing how Superior jumpstarted their careers! Today we share Clint Bell's story and how enrolling in Superior's free EMT class provided him with the skills needed to succeed in EMS. Clint started his EMS career by enrolling in Superior's free EMT class, graduating in 2010 with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the field. He feels fortunate to have applied the fundamentals he learned at Superior while working with various agencies across central Illinois. His dedication and hard work paid off when he obtained his paramedic license, and he now proudly serves as a Paramedic for Adams County Ambulance. Clint’s journey exemplifies the transformative power of education and training at Superior. We’re proud to have been a part of his success story! 💙🚑 #SuperiorAlumni #ems

  • Celebrating 67 Years of Excellence at Superior Ambulance! 🎉 Today, we shine a spotlight on one of our alumni, Kenneth Mescall. Kenneth's journey began with us as an EMT/Probationary Paramedic from 1996 to 1998, where he gained invaluable skills that laid the foundation for his 25-year career with the Chicago Police Department. During his time at Superior, Kenneth developed a maturity and resilience that set him apart from his fellow peers. The compassion and quick-thinking abilities he honed proved essential in high-pressure situations throughout his law enforcement career. As a Sergeant with the Chicago PD, Kenneth often reflected on the importance of psychological first aid, skills he first learned at Superior, alongside the physical training he received. Now retired, he credits his time with us as a pivotal chapter in his professional journey. Join us in celebrating Kenneth and all our alumni who have made a difference in their communities! 💙🚑 #SuperiorAlumni #ems

The mentorship and invaluable experiences he gained during his time at Superior laid the groundwork for a remarkable 31-year career in public safety. After leaving Superior, Mark maintained his paramedic license for 24 years, taking on various roles in fire services. He dedicated 11 years as a Fire Marshal in Kansas and served as Fire Chief for departments in Colorado, Arkansas, and Missouri.
