Terac is providing specialized experts on demand to power research. Access top-tier talent or find work today with Terac
About us
Terac is building the infrastructure layer that connects AI systems with on-demand human expertise. We believe the future of work is shifting: instead of humans using AI to do most tasks, AI will increasingly do most work with the help of humans. In that world, companies won’t need traditional employees - but they will still need people. Terac powers that future by making high-quality human labor accessible through a single API. Today, Terac operates as an expert network for frontier research. We handle sourcing, verification, screening, and payouts so partners can instantly access specialized talent for research, evaluation, and data generation. Our platform enables companies to tap into niche expertise on demand while focusing on building their core products. Backed by $9M from Emergence, SignalFire, Audacious, and Z Fellows, we’re scaling from research tooling into a broader marketplace for the human data economy - building systems for expert matching, pricing, routing, and trust that will define how AI and humans collaborate at scale.

LAUNCH WEEK (3 of 5) Introducing: Terac Integration 🤝 Today we're launching our integration with Terac. Recruiting niche professionals has always been one of the hardest parts of B2B research. Traditional panels work well for broad audiences, but they often fall short when you need highly specialized expertise. Terac is taking a novel approach to expert recruitment with dynamic screening, continuous quality checks, and recruitment agents that help reach audiences beyond traditional panels. We've enjoyed getting to know Zac Baker and the Terac team and are excited to partner on a fresh approach to expert recruitment. Looking ahead, we think this is an important building block for expert evaluations across AI products, enterprise software, and other specialized workflows. If you're looking for software developers, IT professionals, financial analysts, healthcare professionals, or other niche experts, you can now access Terac's recruitment technology directly from within Voicepanel. More to come.

Imagine a world where Mozart never discovered music. The reality is a version of that story plays out for millions of people every year. Picture an aspiring poet who was forced to provide for their family from a young age and was never able to pursue writing. Or a gifted computer scientist from a small town in Nigeria who’s applications are automatically filtered out by the tech companies they dream of working at. What about the college student who took a job from the first company that offered, fearful of not finding work in a world where they're told AI will automate their talents. What do these stories have in common? They are victims of the world’s inefficient labor economy, and now members of Terac's network. The labor economy is one of the most inefficient marketplaces in the world. There are far too many people in the world who aren’t able to do work they love, are overlooked for roles they are qualified for because of their background, or haven't discovered what they're passionate about. AI has changed the equation. At Terac, we spend every day figuring out how we can understand all of our experts deeply: what they love, the culture they thrive in, where their talents lie, and what they can earn from. We do the same work with our customers: understanding their needs, what type of expertise they would benefit from, and the types of people they want to work with. The goal is clear: efficiently allocate all of the world's talent so we can enable everyone to find and earn from their life's work. We've grown more than 10x since May, have served dozens of customers, and can't keep up with demand. So we're hiring across the board. Operators, salespeople, ex-founders, engineers, and more. If you're interested in marketplaces and organizing the world's labor, reach out to me or comment below. We're offering a $10k referral bonus for any made hires.

Had a fun chat with Zac about how they're growing their customer base, the lessons he's learned along the way, plus the GTM hack he swears by. cc: Office Drop Ins

I just earned over $3,000 with Terac 🎉 I've been participating in their AI Accounting and Finance research. The work involves reviewing AI-generated case studies — mostly focused on audit, accounting, and FP&A.— and editing prompts as a domain expert. Leveraging my background across all three of these areas, it has been incredibly fascinating to get a real behind-the-scenes look at how AI uses rubrics and tolerances to sort data, which is completely changing how I think about prompt engineering in my day-to-day work. The best part is getting paid as much as $200/hour for something I genuinely enjoy doing in my free time, giving me extra cash to splurge on special occasions! The study is still ongoing through June. If you're an accounting or finance professional interested in monetizing your expertise, DM me—I'd be happy to share my referral link so you can get matched. Shout out to Nicolás Russo Giovanni Borgogno Abe Getahun and Arjun B. for being so responsive and helpful.

Terac paid out $21,037 to experts last week. That’s pure money earned by people on our platform for sharing specialized knowledge. Now we’re on pace to create $1M+ in annual earning opportunities for experts across research, AI, and specialized industries. These payouts alone have grown 150% month-over-month. To date, we’ve already helped create more than 1,000 jobs and expert opportunities through the platform. We’re building the infrastructure that connects that expertise to the companies that need it, quickly and at scale. We have an incredible opportunity ahead of us. So excited for what comes next.

The research and design community is truly one of a kind, and we feel so lucky to be a part of it. Last night, we had an incredible time wrapping up Learners Research Week with a happy hour alongside our friends at Terac and Maze. 🥂 It was a night full of laughter, great food, and networking. This celebration wouldn’t have been the same without all of you. Cheers! #ResearchWeek2026 #LetsGrow

Research Week is almost wrapped up, and seeing the Terac Lounge packed with researchers all week has been incredibly rewarding. When we started Terac, Zac Baker and I spent months talking to researchers across UXR, market research, and AI to understand where the industry was breaking down. One theme came up constantly: finding high-quality participants and experts is still far too hard. That problem becomes even more important as AI moderators and AI-native research workflows raise the bar for participant quality. Researchers need verified expertise, not just completed screeners. That’s why we built Terac. This week feels especially meaningful because we brought our entire engineering team out to Research Week. A lot of them have spent the last year building systems for expert verification, screening, fraud detection, scheduling, and recruitment infrastructure without always getting to see the researchers and participants those systems support in real life. Watching the team meet researchers face-to-face, hear workflows firsthand, and see people genuinely excited about what we’re building has been awesome. Huge thank you to Alec Levin and the Learners team for creating something that brings this community together at this scale.
