Welcome to 825 Third Avenue, Slarskey LLC!
The quiet before the storm. Slarskey LLC goes live in new offices at 825 Third Avenue on Monday. I’m very excited for the collaborative spaces. We intentionally gave the best riverfront views over to the kitchen/lunchroom, built a conversation pit to encourage laptops on the couch, and buried the conference rooms in the interior. And now we’ve got room to grow! So, umm, who needs a lawyer? And who wants to come join us? Because we’re going to have bills to pay! Thanks to Emma Beach, bonnie lin, Ann M. Quintero and the entire Slarskey LLC team and all the folks who have helped us with the move, Sam Hoffman, David L. Hoffman, Jr., Diana Mosher, Yvonne Pho, Lee Bergstein, Rhonda Schwartz, the The Durst Organization team, and hopefully I didn’t forget anyone 🤞.

Durst’s Summer Employee Program is all about creating opportunities to learn from experienced leaders, and last week's executive leadership panel was a standout moment. Thank you to our panelists Jody Durst, Lucas Durst, Thomas Duffe, Ron Jerman, Dena Calo, Sydney Mainster, AIA, LEED AP, and Jeff Parras for sharing thoughtful career advice and to our Summer Employees for bringing such insightful questions to the conversation. 2026 Summer Employees: Cooper Martino, Dava Kielb, Emily Schneider, Alejandra Kreeger, Owen Park, Charles Slavik, Bryce Hall-Knight, Nathaniel Fridland, Jeremy Calo, Ashlyn Reyes, Kevin Fiola, Thomas Carlton, Jack Ippolito, Isabella Bonaventura, Justin Yakuel, Aiden Jacob, Braydon Kaplan
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting an executive leadership panel for The Durst Organization's Summer Employees. These college students and recent grads had some tough questions for us! It was amazing getting to hear from this great group and sharing a few lessons from my own career journey. Four traits that I recommended for all entering the workforce (and valuable at every stage of a career): • Strong communication skills: Don’t be afraid to have the conversation • Positivity: Be the light in the room • Willingness to think outside the box: Test yourself and challenge assumptions • Understanding your impact: Don’t just do your job, know how your work connects to the business. Thank you to our Summer Employees for all their hard work. I can’t wait to see what you do next. And special thanks to Fatima Yamin, Alma Rastoder and Jonathan Garcia for putting together the program. You did an amazing job.

Lucas Durst has been named Chief Financial Officer of The Durst Organization. Lucas has been with the company for more than a decade and most recently led financings for One Five One, 1155 Avenue of the Americas, and SVEN. “I am humbled to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer at a pivotal point for our company as we embark on the repositioning of 114 West 47th Street and the ongoing lease up of Halletts Point,” said Lucas Durst, Chief Financial Officer of The Durst Organization. "The best thing about working with Lucas is the problems that never happen. He sees them well in advance and solves them before they surface. I've worked with Lucas across dozens of financings, and that foresight is exactly what makes him the right CFO,” said Andrew Thornfeldt, Managing Director, Chatham Financial. 🏆 20 & 30 Halletts Point won first place in the Sustainable Design category at this year’s AIA Queens Design Awards. Set along the East River in Astoria, Queens, 20 & 30 Halletts Point transform a former industrial site into a vibrant residential community. The project demonstrates how large-scale urban developments can deliver meaningful environmental and health benefits. As the Sustainability, Energy and LEED consultant, Atelier Ten collaborated with The Durst Organization, Handel Architects, and the project team from the outset to establish clear sustainability goals through an integrated design process. This early alignment laid the foundation for the achievement of LEED Platinum certification and significant energy cost savings. The campus development incorporates a blackwater reuse system, lower-carbon structure and enclosure strategies, and verified healthy building materials, reinforcing its commitment to resource efficiency, occupant wellbeing, and sustainable urban living. 🔗 Read more about the project: https://lnkd.in/gFeSM4Ud #SustainableDesign #GreenBuilding #LEEDPlatinum #UrbanDevelopment #HealthyBuildings #Resilientdesign #LowCarbonDesign #AIAQueens #BuildingPerformance #AtelierTen
