Slow decision-making is costing your organization the most in today's hiring market. At least, according to your answers on our poll two weeks ago -- but we agree. "What pathways to meaning, life, and creativity outside your work are inviting more of your attention in the second half of the year? It's not just about a hobby. You can't find meaning primarily through consumption -- but through contribution. What is a creative outlet for contribution that may be calling for you to pay greater attention to?" Jonathan McIntosh, CPC led a hard-hitting section on intentionally building more meaning into our careers, callings, and lives. Since our work is filled with transferring energy through phone conversations, creating meaning OUTSIDE of work is the most authentic way we can show up AT work. We talked about developing meaning through three key pathways: 🗝️ Finding and pouring into a creative outlet. 🗝️ Bringing your unique self to work (What is your superpower?). 🗝️ Identifying what you're no longer willing to tolerate (What flavor of the garbage gumbo are you willing to eat?). Through a series of reflective questions, Jonathan provided us with an architecture of how to expand the intersection of the Venn diagram of meaning and money -- because that slice of authenticity is where your effort has the biggest return.
