  • RMI's global climate tech accelerator Third Derivative is thrilled to partner with The Drop on a special series of Ripple discussions this September in Malmö. Together, we've curated four conversations around some of the biggest questions facing climate, industry, and investing today, and we're looking for hosts to lead them. The topics include: - Are mid-market firms the missing buyers? - Time to invest in a new climate category? - The Case for Deep Tech Roll-Up Strategies - Institutions Are Slowing the Transition. Now What? If you're excited by one of these questions and enjoy bringing people together around meaningful conversations, we'd love to hear from you. Ripples are 45-minute, peer-led roundtable discussions designed to bring together diverse perspectives. They're not presentations or panels. They're collaborative discussions where participants challenge ideas, share experience, and leave with new insights and connections. We're looking for hosts who can frame a great conversation, ask thoughtful questions, and create space for others to contribute. You don't need to have all the answers. Interested? • Southeast Asia's carbon market is gaining momentum, but carbon markets alone won't deliver industrial decarbonization. Lasting emissions reductions require technologies that can tackle hard-to-abate emissions. Join us on July 15 at 1:00 PM SGT for our showcase on Carbon Capture & Carbon Management for Industrial Decarbonization. Charithea Charalambous will share insights from our latest research on point source carbon capture, including where we’re seeing the strongest market signals and deployment opportunities across Asia and the Middle East. We'll also hear from three startups developing innovative approaches to tackling emissions from hard-to-abate sectors: Greengine – Modular microalgae-based carbon capture Mitico – Low-cost, modular point-source carbon capture YAMA – Low-energy direct air capture At RMI and Third Derivative, our primary focus remains accelerating the clean energy transition to reduce emissions — while closely tracking emerging carbon management solutions that could play an important supporting role in addressing emissions from sectors where decarbonization remains particularly challenging. If you're interested in climate tech, industrial decarbonization, carbon management, or investment opportunities in the region, we invite you to join us. 🚀 Excited that Yama has been selected for Third Derivative's Asia & Middle East Industrial Decarbonization Showcase Series! An RMI initiative. Asia - and particularly Singapore - is emerging as a key hub for industrial decarbonization. With one of the world’s largest gas-power fleets, the region offers a major opportunity to deploy carbon capture at scale. At YAMA, we’re building an electrified carbon capture solution for dilute CO₂ streams, designed to decarbonize gas power while preserving grid flexibility. Looking forward to sharing our vision and connecting with investors, industrial leaders, and partners driving this transition. 👉 Want to join? Register link in comment

Cooling is having a moment — and it's about time. I'm super excited to see Passive Daytime Radiative Cooling (PDRC) recognized by the World Economic Forum as one of its Top 10 Emerging Technologies of 2026! We've been talking a lot about cooling lately, and for good reason. As temperatures rise, we need solutions that keep people comfortable without driving up energy demand and straining the grid. PDRC does exactly that. It reflects sunlight and, uniquely, radiates heat into space, helping keep buildings cooler with no electricity or mechanical systems. It's exciting to see this technology gaining recognition, and even more exciting to see it moving beyond the lab and into real-world pilots. We're working with partners on demonstration projects in India and the U.S., and I can't wait to share more as those pilots progress.
