NFI operates the 5th largest warehouse footprint in the United States, running fulfillment and logistics at a scale most people never see. So hearing feedback like this from their team means a lot: "It's impressive to see the impact technology can have on contingent staffing. Traba has consistently delivered a level of speed, quality, and consistency that truly sets them apart. We're excited about what they've built and look forward to continuing to grow our partnership." Staffing is where we started, and being inside operations like this every day is what taught us how the physical supply chain actually works, where it breaks, and what the data really looks like underneath. That understanding is why we're building Neo, the AI layer for the operations that move the physical economy. Staffing proved we can bring real technology to an industry that's gone without it for too long and Neo is how we take that much further. There's a lot more coming.

🚨 Calling out an exciting milestone... We just crossed 1,000,000 completed shifts on Traba. The number is exciting, but the pace is what stands out. It took us over 4 years to reach our first 500,000 completed shifts and we completed the next 500,000 in <1 year. Every shift represents an opportunity that a hardworking American was able to find consistent work, earn above-market income, and support themselves and their families. At the same time, critical businesses were able to get the labor that they needed to keep their operations running. Traba's acceleration is a reflection of the trust our customers place in us, the dedication of Traba associates who show up every day, and the relentless work of our team as we continue building the future of the global supply chain. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey. On to the next million. 🚀

We officially launched Neo: Decision Intelligence for the Supply Chain. The problem in the supply chain was never information, it was the decision. Operators have the data (WMS, TMS, ERP, HRIS, carrier feeds), but the systems don't talk, so they run on incomplete data and tribal knowledge. Neo is the decision intelligence layer for supply chain operations: it connects your existing systems, decides the next move, and takes the action, grounded in real data from the floor. One early partner, Cody Branham, CEO of Ship Smarter, said it best: "It's the calm in the storm and the eye in the sky. I can now run my business profitably with confidence." We started by solving labor. This is the next chapter. Full story in the comments 👇 #Neo #DecisionIntelligence #SupplyChain

You can't buy your way onto the warehouse floor. You earn it, one 5am shift at a time. Five years later. Enter Neo. From our Founder Mike Shebat 👇

Akshay Buddiga and I started Traba in 2021. Everyone said temp staffing was a terrible business. Low margin, no tech, deeply unglamorous. Five years later, our industrial staffing product is the fastest growing in the country and it's the reason we just built something no AI company can copy. That "bad business" put us somewhere no AI team can buy its way into: inside the warehouses and fulfillment centers themselves. We run labor for some of the biggest logistics operations in the country. We learned how a warehouse actually runs. We learned how one no-show at 5am cascades into a truck that leaves half full and a customer that churns. We learned what the P&L looks like before anyone cleans it up. So we built Neo. If you run a light industrial operation, your data is scattered across systems that don't talk to each other. By the time a problem is visible, it's already on the floor and it's already cost you. Neo connects those systems, catches the problem upstream, and acts on it before your shift lead ever sees it. Your team gets ahead of the work instead of drowning in it. Early partners are seeing it work: → More than 8 hours/week of time reclaimed for each member of the leadership team → 15% more site-level profitability → 90%+ fewer admin errors, with post-shipment exceptions resolved with zero human touch We could build this for one reason: we spent five years in the part of the industry nobody else would touch. Sometimes the unglamorous door is the only one open. Walk through it with us. See what Neo can do. Link in comments ⬇️

May has been an incredibly productive time at Traba, and we thought we'd introduce you to some of our latest teammates creating massive impact! Mox — Data Governance Lead Mox leads data governance and safety at Traba. It runs hourly dbt pipeline alerts as well as Argus, our org-wide governance scan, to catch PII leak risk, optimize data connectors, and walk each DRI through the process of shoring up their data correctness, efficiency, and safety. This allows every operator (yes, operator) to build apps and scripts without fear of data impropriety. S. Botsal — DevEx Strategist S. Botsal focuses on engineering strategy and cross-team coordination at Traba. It runs root cause investigation meetings, coordinates infrastructure migrations, deep dives into corpus-level engineering analyses, and generally does the hard glue work that makes tech debt decision making a breeze. Pliny — Head of Customer Knowledge Pliny leads customer intelligence at Traba. It reads every company doc and contract we feed it, extracts structured facts, and routes them through a human review queue with SLAs, deduplicating along the way without breaking the paper trail. It ensures that we can service businesses and workers fully agentically without any discrepancy. Neutron — Senior SRE / Head of BI Neutron leads support, SRE, and business intelligence. It triages production incidents from all observability sources, as well as end-to-end support triage, from ticket to code. In addition, it generates BI dashboards, recurring data pulls, and solves complex data requests that draws from our full data warehouse. OpenJeff — Chief of Staff OpenJeff handles full-stack employee onboarding, offboarding, and a litany of hiring funnel triggers that ensures that every applicant to Traba has an efficient, informed, and personal experience. It also manages team meetings and rituals, setting followups and retrospectives. Bot FN — Biz Support Coordinator Bot FN reads inbound escalation threads, memorizes the team's recurring decisions and response patterns, and produces structured briefs so human owners can efficiently process and support industrial businesses in real time. -- Every single one of these tools is effectively a YC company that we built for ourselves. The rub: every one of these tools, we are also building for global supply chain businesses, to allow them to operate at peak efficiency. The era of Physical AI is here. If you see the vision, come be part of the vision! https://traba.work/careers

In our latest Top CHRO Voice Spotlight, Ryan Loken of Tyson Foods reframes what HR modernization actually means and describes what most leaders get wrong. He explains the ‘kitchen renovation’ analogy. Everyone uses the word "modern", yet nobody pictures the same finished kitchen. You can't pick the appliances or rip up the flooring until you've settled on the vision for the finished space. And you don't tear out what already works just because it's old. If it ain't broke, don't replace it. His advice: define WHY you’re modernizing before you define HOW. For some companies, modernization means converting paper processes to digital; for others, it's redesigning workforce planning, rebuilding onboarding for new hires, or building better feedback loops for employees. The most effective HR leaders see past directionless technology rollouts, identifying exactly what business outcomes to focus on and creating roadmaps accordingly. Ryan's perspective is a useful reset for any HR team staring down a "modernize everything" mandate. Read the full spotlight featuring Ryan Loken here: https://lnkd.in/eAmGdJ9E

Modernizing HR means strengthening what works, not replacing it. Everything in an organization can be a data point: employee sentiment, forecasts, business outcomes. Naturally, companies are continuously using this data to recognize patterns and diagnose what to improve. But effective modernization isn’t simply digitizing existing processes or applying blanket automation - it’s listening to employees, solving specific problems, and tying every people decision to a tangible business outcome. In our latest Top CHRO Voice Spotlight, Ryan Loken, Head of HR Policy Administration and Governance at Tyson Foods, shares how low-ego leadership, cross-functional partnership, and thoughtful implementation should continue to be the core ethos of the next HR transformation. Two years ago I came across this story and it hit different. Because I was there. When Mike and his team were just getting started with Traba they showed up to our Kreyol Essence warehouse unannounced. Literally showed up. Gate locked. Knocked on the door. I was inside at 7am setting up for a shift. I let them in. Heard the pitch. Took a chance. They became one of our staffing partners. The model worked. Workers got paid. We shipped product on time. Now Traba is one of the fastest growing companies in the country. That's what I mean when I say I know how to spot talent early. Real recognize real. Operators recognize operators.

Most people say they want “owners, not employees.” Mike Shebat shows what that actually looks like. In this talk he lays out one of the clearest frameworks I’ve seen for building a high-output team: stop hiring “cogs in a wheel” and start hiring gears – people who own entire functions, wear multiple hats, and actually move the company forward. He breaks every hour on the calendar into four buckets: Productive work: directly tied to revenue, customers, and real milestones Neutral work: busywork that feels important but doesn’t move the needle Force multipliers: systems, dashboards, and culture work that make everyone else better Poison: subtle behaviors that spread doubt, distraction, and misalignment across the org Two things resonated: It’s not about flexing that you work 60+ hours. It’s about how many of those hours are truly “force multiplying” and turn 60 hours into 90 hours of impact. Your actual job is to kill poison and neutral work fast, be a broken record on the vision, and push back on “cool projects” and new headcount unless they clearly move you toward the next milestone. The uncomfortable part: you do have to sweat the small stuff – showing up late, loose expense habits, low standards. Whatever you tolerate at 10 people becomes your culture at 100. If you’re building right now, this is worth the time. Ramp, Khosla Ventures, and Traba are backing a founder who is still wildly underrated in the broader conversation. Underrated take on how Mike thinks about operating and culture.
