🌞 Summer is well underway, and so is AGC of Wisconsin's She Builds Construction Camp! 👷♀️ This year marks the first time that She Builds traveled beyond Dane County to visit Kalahari Resorts & Conventions’ waterpark expansion, where Tri-North is serving as the project’s general contractor. With dozens of middle-school-aged girls in attendance, they got a snapshot into what a #constructioncareer can look like. It was incredibly eye-opening to see what all goes into managing a large #construction project. 💦 Spanning 75,000 square feet, the waterpark expansion will feature multiple waterslides and a three-story OpenAire Inc. structure with a retractable roof to allow for natural lighting and fresh air. “Considering the size and scope, and of course the project’s uniqueness, students were genuinely engaged and excited to learn about building a waterpark,” says Tri-North senior project manager and She Builds steering committee member Erika Cleaver. 🌊 The waterpark expansion will be completed by Fall 2026 and make a big splash with guests from near and far! #SheBuildsWisconsin #WomenInConstruction #HospitalityConstruction

🖊️ Congratulations to Tri-North youth apprentice Mauricio! We recently celebrated his #signingday with OPCMIA Local 599 as he continues his career with Tri-North. 🛠️ #Construction has been a major part of Mauricio’s life from an early age as his father Monte is a Tri-North superintendent. “It is great to see Mauricio take a keen interest in the trades,” says Monte. “It is a viable career and a way to help shape our communities, where I am excited to see what he will do in this next chapter of his education.” 👷 “We are incredibly proud of everything Mauricio has accomplished during his #youthapprenticeship,” says Tri-North shop and yard operations manager Jake Brown. “Mauricio will be a great addition to our team. 👷♀️ Building skills and confidence for young women interested in #construction is of extreme importance. This is especially true for Tri-North senior project manager and In Business Madison's 2026 40 Under 40 honoree Erika Cleaver. 🛠️ As a steering committee member for AGC of Wisconsin’s She Builds Camp, Erika is helping introduce middle-school-aged girls to the exciting potential that a #constructioncareer can offer. “When you see somebody that looks like you doing a career you’re interested in, it’s a little less intimidating,” says Erika. “We’re really trying to expand upon getting different people into our industry across the board.” 🦺 From hands-on activities to site visits, the She Builds Camp is having a great impact and growing beyond Madison to Eau Claire, Green Bay, and the Wisconsin Dells.
