We reached $50B in annual transaction volume after five years of building. In the past 12 months, we've doubled to $100B. 🚀 The acceleration reflects the platforms building on Unit and the end users who are increasingly making embedded finance a part of their daily workflows. We're proud to power many of the platforms shaping the next generation of financial services, and excited to help the next wave of companies build and scale. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/gm4m4aQM

For a while now, we've all been hearing the buzz around Agentic Finance. What's becoming increasingly interesting is seeing it move beyond the buzz. At Unit, we're seeing customers build real agentic workflows where moving money is a core part of the experience, not as a concept, but as something happening in production. As a company that has spent years making financial systems programmable through APIs, it's exciting to watch software evolve from simply connecting systems to actively driving workflows. That's what led us to team up with Team8, Payoneer, and Deloitte Catalyst earlier this week for an Agentic Payments event, where founders, operators, investors, and fintech leaders came together to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and compare notes on where things are actually heading. Most embedded finance programs don't fail at launch. They fail after it. The infrastructure works. The accounts open. And then nothing. Users don't fund them, don't add a vendor, don't take the offer. The product is live, but the revenue never shows up. After launching 100+ embedded finance programs, we've watched exactly where adoption stalls. So we built adoption into our fully managed, Ready-to-Launch solutions, instead of leaving it for your team to engineer later. Read the product update: https://lnkd.in/epYTjB_b

Today is a huge day for Sequence. We’re launching Sequence for Agents: a way for AI agents to connect directly to Sequence and actually move money. For the last year or so, we’ve watched the same thing happen again and again. People build genuinely useful agents. Agents that read emails, classify transactions, understand invoices, analyze cash flow, and make smart financial decisions. And then they hit the wall. The agent knows what should happen… but it can’t actually do it. It can recommend a transfer. It can draft a budget. It can tell you which account needs funding. It can prepare the workflow. But the human still has to switch tabs, open a bank app, approve the movement, and do the actual work manually. That changes today. With Sequence for Agents, your agent can now read live balances, understand transactions, pull transfer history, trigger existing Sequence rules, create new automations, and move money between real accounts on real rails. This is the same Sequence our users already trust to route income, fund pods, pay bills, split money, and automate their financial lives. Now it’s programmable. That means your Claude agent can understand your cash position and trigger the right transfer. Your n8n workflow can pay contractors based on hours worked. Your internal tool can create a dedicated account flow for a new client. Your finance assistant can fire a tax rule, a payout rule, or an invoice rule without you opening the app. This is not just another financial data API. Reading financial data is useful. But agents don’t become truly powerful until they can act. Sequence is the execution layer for money. Huge shoutout to the Sequence team for the killer execution on this one. Couldn’t be prouder. We’re just getting started. Video below. Link in the comments.

The platforms getting embedded capital right are the ones that start with their customers' cash flow patterns. They acutely understand how money actually moves through their users' businesses: when revenue lands, what triggers spend, where the gaps appear. Patrick Izzo, our GM of Capital, breaks this down and maps it to five embedded capital structures. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eTKBjr5K

Congrats to the team at Heard on the launch of Heard Banking. Heard already does a lot for therapists and wellness practitioners in private practice. Bookkeeping, taxes, payroll, S corp compliance all handled in one place so practitioners can focus on their clients. With embedded banking, every transaction now automatically syncs to their books, deductions categorize themselves, and tax estimates stay current without any extra work. Here’s to Heard becoming the financial home for every therapist running a private practice.
We built Heard to take financial admin off therapists' plates. Today we're adding the missing piece: Heard Banking*, business banking built for private practice. Every transaction auto-syncs to your books and categorizes itself to a chart of accounts built for private practices, so your books stay current and deductions stay easy to claim. One login for banking, bookkeeping, and taxes. Open an account by July 7, make five debit card purchases within 60 days, and we'll add a $150** welcome bonus to your account. → Up to 10 business checking and savings accounts, so the money you set aside for taxes earns interest instead of sitting idle → No minimums and no overdraft fees*** → A 10-minute online application and 55,000+ Allpoint ATMs Curious whether it fits your practice? Embedded finance isn't a one-size-fits-all decision. Some platforms want to own everything from day one. Others want to get live fast and take on more over time. Ehud Fisher, our Chief Product Officer, wrote a guide on how to think about that choice, and what it means for your team technically, operationally, and economically. I had the chance to attend Viola Ventures’ FinTech leadership event this week, where Itai Damti joined Yahav Yulzari of Pagaya and Noam Mills of Panax for a conversation on one of the biggest questions in financial services right now: With AI companies entering financial products, what’s still defensible? AI makes the moats more visible, but it doesn't change which matter. The faster everything moves, the more it matters what you can't build quickly. Three things still hold: proprietary data, regulatory depth, and distribution. Platforms that built those on purpose have a head start that's hard to close. Glad I got to be in the room for this one with Itai and the Unit team. Thanks to Omry Ben David for moderating and Tiran Rothman for the early look at the Frost & Sullivan FinTech 2.0 report.
