Proud to highlight our CFO, Angela Dansie Matthes, who took the stage at the 2026 AICPA & CIMA Not-for-Profit Industry Conference in Washington D.C. Angela joined KarmaSuite Founder & CEO Srikar Chinam to present "AI-Powered Payroll Allocations to Maximize Grant Utilization," a session exploring how AI-driven tools can automate personnel allocation across grants, replacing the manual spreadsheet processes that often lead to underspending, last-minute fire drills, or unspent grant funds. Angela brings 16 years of financial leadership experience across startup, nonprofit, and mission-driven organizations, along with an MS in Finance and a Six Sigma black belt. We're grateful for her expertise and the thoughtful, innovative approach she brings to strengthening how nonprofits like ours manage and maximize impact. A new backpack might seem small, but for a lot of kids it's the difference between walking into the first day of school feeling ready, or feeling behind before it even starts. Thanks to the generosity of David Weekley Homes Care and their $3,000 gift, more students across Salt Lake County will get exactly that this year through Stuff the Bus. This is what it looks like when our community shows up for the next generation. Help us give more students that same feeling on day one. United Way of Salt Lake reposted this
To kids, it's the end of late nights and sleeping in; to (some) parents, it's the light at the end of the summer break tunnel; to all, it's BACK TO SCHOOL! On average, teachers spend $500-$900 of their own money to provide their students with the necessary school supplies. Please consider hosting a supplies drive, donating or volunteering with your local school to help every child get the best education they can, regardless of their circumstances. The newly released 2025 Results Matter Report is Promise Partnership Utah's annual report card to the community. As a founding and sustaining partner of the Partnership, we're so excited to share this report which offers a powerful look at the progress happening for kids and families across Utah. This year's report highlights continued momentum in early literacy, expanded access to full-day kindergarten, and growing systems of support for children and families from cradle to career. It also demonstrates the incredible things we can achieve together when communities, schools, and partners collaborate with shared purpose. Read the full report here! 💙 https://lnkd.in/eKfUuAtg

250 years ago today, a group of people made a promise to each other. Liberty. Equality. The pursuit of happiness. But one of the most enduring qualities of the American spirit has always been something simpler: showing up for each other. That spirit is at the heart of everything United Way of Salt Lake does. Today we celebrate it. Happy Independence Day from our team to yours 🇺🇸
