Improving patient satisfaction, practice efficiency and facility economics in urge urinary incontinence treatment.

About us

Valencia is transforming the management of urge urinary incontinence (UUI). Unlike traditional (UUI) treatment options, Valencia offers patients the freedom of 3+ years of "set it and forget it" relief. A study in a peer-reviewed publication demonstrated that almost 1 out of 5 UUI patients prefer Valencia's eCOIN as a 1st choice among advanced treatment options. Patients enjoy the freedom to do more of what they want to do - without concerns over medications, frequent visits to the doctor, repetitive and uncomfortable procedures, or surgery and general anesthesia. Physicians, APPs, and practices are able to bring more efficiency by reducing office visits with established patients. With more open schedules, practices are able to add more new patients, create additional revenue opportunities, and shorten waiting lists. Surgery centers and hospitals are able to enhance economics since the eCoin implant can be performed in a procedure room without general anesthesia.

  • NOVEMBER IS BLADDER HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH. Clinicians have long had limited options for urge urinary incontinence patients suffering from bladder leakage. Decades-old minimally invasive treatments are frequently rejected or discontinued. Consequently, patients often end up stuck on the “medication merry-go-round” for years. And urology practices end up with a revolving door of patients dissatisfied and seeking a better option. ECOIN® THERAPY OFFERS CLINICIANS AND PATIENTS A NEW HOPE The eCoin device is a nickel-sized stimulator that is placed into a patient’s ankle by a physician in an outpatient procedure. Once activated, eCoin provides gentle stimulation to the tibial nerve, reducing bladder symptoms in 4-8 weeks. With eCoin Therapy, clinicians can free many patients from frequent office visits so they can get back into their lives. With no home maintenance, just “set it and forget it” convenience. eCoin Therapy is as easy as 1, 2, 3: - 1 Straightforward procedure - 2 Office visits* - 3+ Years of relief** * 91% of eCoin patients require 2 or fewer visits for programming. Data on file. ** Approximately 70% of eCoin patients are programmed to a setting that should provide 3-6 years of battery life. Data on file. The eCoin Peripheral Neurostimulator (“eCoin”) is part of the eCoin Peripheral Neurostimulator System (“eCoin System”), including device accessories. Indications: The eCoin is intended to be used to treat urgency urinary incontinence in patients intolerant to or having an inadequate response to other more conservative treatments or who have undergone a successful trial of percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation. Contraindications: The eCoin is contraindicated for the following patients: • Poor Surgical Candidates: The eCoin should not be implanted in patients who are poor surgical candidates. Poor surgical candidates include those who have open wounds or sores on the lower leg or foot; had prior surgery in the implant area; had previous, unhealed trauma in the implant area; pitting edema (≥2+) in the lower leg; venous disease/insufficiency in the lower leg; arterial disease/insufficiency in the lower leg; vasculitis or dermatologic conditions in the lower leg, infections near the implantation site in the lower leg. • Patient cannot properly operate the Patient Controller Magnets and paper tape for use in the event of unintended or unwanted stimulation. Warnings: Full-body security scanners used by the TSA are considered safe in patients that have a stimulator. The eCoin is MRI Conditional. It is not safe to have a patient’s lower leg placed in an MRI machine. For a complete list of warnings, precautions, and potential adverse events, refer to the eCoin Physician or Patient Manual or visit www.ecoin.us/safety. Rx only

  • UUI patients want to get out of the doctor's office and get back into their lives. With the traditional stepwise UUI pathway, patients often remain dissatisfied for years with treatments they don't want or like. Patient freedom from conventional technologies and therapies is finally here for UUI patients. Any treatment that tethers a patient to an office or/and an office to a patient is archaic. Rechargeable and wearable devices came out in 2003 - and more continue to come because a lack of creative solutions and reprocessed old technologies - why? Break free of conventional and embrace freedom - set it - forget it and everyone wins. Patients Practices Waiting list are reduced Healthcare system Everyone wins - it’s about the doctors and the patients they serve - we are humbled by being able to help in any way!!
