VAST Data is the AI Operating System company – powering the next generation of intelligent systems with a unified software infrastructure stack that was purpose-built to unlock the full potential of AI. The VAST AI OS consolidates foundational data and compute services and agentic execution into one scalable platform, enabling organizations to deploy and facilitate communication between AI agents, reason over real-time data, and automate complex workflows at global scale. Built on VAST’s breakthrough DASE architecture – the world’s first true parallel distributed system architecture that eliminates tradeoffs between performance, scale, simplicity, and resilience – VAST has transformed its modern infrastructure into a global fabric for reasoning AI.

Confession: I'm a hardware geek at heart. Which is why I've had a lot of fun watching hardware make a "comeback" these last few years all thanks to AI. The reality, however, is that enterprises don't buy components – be it a processor, an accelerator, or a network adapter – simply for the novelty of new hardware. Enterprises are looking for solutions that solve real problems. At AMD's #AdvancingAI2026, I got to sit down with Derek Dicker to chat about how they see the enterprise AI market evolving, their growing portfolio of technologies to address everything from AI inferencing to compute-heavy data processing, and of course the expanding collaboration with VAST Data. Here's a sneak peak! Stay tuned for the full recording coming soon!
Cybersecurity analyst and longtime practitioner, Adrian Sanabria, joined Shared Everything to examine how AI is accelerating cybersecurity faster than enterprises can adapt 💭
What a week at WAIC - World Artificial Intelligence Conference! VAST Data was excited to be part of the conversation in Shanghai, connecting with customers, partners and the broader AI community. Co-founder Jeff Denworth took the stage sharing insights into the AI infrastructure transformation, and how the VAST AI OS is enabling organisations to build and scale AI with a high-performance data foundation. Thank you to the partners at Chao Qing and xFusion Global for hosting, and to everyone who stopped by to learn about next-gen AI infrastructure 🚀

If you want to know where modern AI infrastructure actually breaks in production, look beyond compute capacity. Look at memory boundaries. For training, raw GPU compute performance and maximum utilization is critical. Inference is reliant on context memory and data movement. When AI coding and other long-thinking agents run out of local HBM, latency spikes, token costs sky rocket, and expensive accelerators sit idle waiting on storage reads. Anat Heilper and I authored a new deep-dive exploring how VAST Data and AMD achieved 9.7x more tokens/second and 9x faster TTFT by offloading KV cache beyond local HBM constraints. Read the blog to see see exactly how VAST and AMD accelerate continuous inference for AI Clouds and AI-native enterprises.
How do you prepare future public-sector leaders for real-world AI? By giving them the tools to solve tomorrow's infrastructure challenges across edge, core, and cloud: ✅ Advanced Compute: Powered by a donated NVIDIA DGX GB300 system. ✅ Global Data Management: Unified by VAST DataSpace to manage data across distributed sites without silos. ✅ Mission Impact: Accelerating the path from academic research to real-world capability. Adrian Sanabria joined Nicole Hemsoth Prickett on Shared Everything to examine why AI-accelerated threats demand a fundamental shift in defense strategy. As Large Language Models introduce architectural risks like prompt injection and retrieval poisoning, security can no longer exist as a downstream application patch. Security ownership must migrate directly into the infrastructure layer, where platform engineers and infrastructure architects design resilient, continuous AI systems from the data layer up 🚀

What if AI isn't creating entirely new security problems, but making every existing one move faster? In the latest episode of Shared Everything, I sit down with cybersecurity analyst and longtime practitioner Adrian Sanabria to talk about what AI is doing to vulnerability discovery, patching, prompt injection, software supply chains, and enterprise risk. The deeper issue is ownership, he argues. Security can't remain something a centralized team applies after deployment. It has to be built into infrastructure, software, and operational decisions from the beginning. Full episode and writeup here - https://lnkd.in/gsMtb_Bn
Modern agentic AI systems require persistent context and high-throughput inference infrastructure that scales efficiently. At AMD #AdvancingAI, Alon Horev will showcase how the VAST AI OS enables persistent KV cache and context-aware inference pipelines, reducing recomputation while improving performance, efficiency, and scalability 🚀
