🎉 Happy National Intern Day! 🎉 Did you know VEDP supports internship opportunities through three impactful programs? 🔹 This year in Richmond, 16 interns across 12 divisions are gaining hands-on experience at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and Virginia Tourism Corporation. Recognized as a Top Virginia Employers for Interns, the VEDP and VTC Summer Intern program offers students an opportunity to explore employment in a government organization while growing their professional skills in communication, teamwork, leadership, and a variety of industry-specific skills. 🔹 The Virginia Global Business Internship Program, led by VEDP International Trade, is hosting 19 students this summer to support small and medium-sized Virginia exporters. Students specifically represent colleges and universities within Virginia and work on real-world projects that support their host company's global business development. 🔹Earlier this year, VEDP launched InternshipsVA to help Virginia employers design and launch high-quality, paid internships for higher education students in Virginia. VEDP is proud to share that the program has now funded matching grants to support nearly 700 internships with more than 250 Virginia-based employers in 2026. As a Top State for Talent, these high-impact internships are shaping Virginia’s future workforce and strengthening pathways to employment. 👏 Discover Virginia's talent advantage: https://hubs.ly/Q04rl4KR0 #NationalInternDay #InternshipsVA #TopStateforTalent #VirginiaJobs #TalentDevelopment
