Building a genuinely personalized portfolio for every client can be operationally taxing and is difficult to deliver at scale. One client wants tax sensitivity, another has values-based restrictions, another is sitting on a concentrated position that needs careful handling. Doing that well for one client is manageable; doing it across a full book is another story. This is where Vise fits for our advisor network. It is a fully AI-enabled investment management solution built for RIAs that handles direct indexing, daily tax-loss harvesting, and tax-aware portfolio construction, so advisors can customize for each client without the manual lift. What stands out to us is how it handles transitions. When an advisor onboards a new client, Vise can model a tax-aware path and produce a clear proposal comparing where the portfolio sits today against where it is headed. That kind of clarity matters, especially for clients moving alongside an advisor who is making a change of their own. Good tools give advisors more time with clients and less time in the weeds. Vise is one of the partners helping our advisor network do exactly that. Thanks to the Vise team for the work they do alongside our advisors!

Alpha Architect is now on Vise. One of the industry's most respected quantitative managers — more than $20B in AUM — with strategies you can now personalize for every client. For advisors, that means: * Deploy an Alpha Architect strategy and tailor it to every client * Manage it alongside the rest of the client's assets in one system * Model selection, portfolio construction, rebalancing, and daily tax management in one workflow The personalization that used to require an enterprise-sized team, now available to firms of every size.

We just put a $20 billion asset manager's strategies in the hands of every advisor. We're excited to partner with Alpha Architect to bring their research-driven strategies onto Vise. Alpha Architect thinks like we do. Same ethos, similar culture: a team that leads with innovation and builds around the advisor, not the product. For most of this industry's history, the size of your firm decided how personalized your clients' portfolios could be. The largest firms could afford to personalize, buying the people and the technology to customize portfolios for their biggest clients. Everyone else ran the model as it came. That was always the quiet unfairness in this industry. Two clients could get very different levels of care for no reason other than which firm they happened to walk into. We built Vise to fix that. Now any advisor, at any size firm, can take an Alpha Architect model and shape it around the individual client. Concentrated positions. Values-based exclusions. Tax circumstances. All handled, all managed alongside the rest of the client's portfolio in one system, rebalanced and tax-optimized every day. The models advisors trust, delivered as portfolios that belong entirely to the client. Check out the full story.

Vise just crossed $100B in platform assets. 355% year-over-year growth. $11.5B+ AUM in Vise Strategies. Our leanest team ever. In the last three months of this year, we onboarded more accounts than we did in all of 2023, 2024 and 2025 combined. That's the thesis working out loud. Give advisors technology to personalize every portfolio and scale without adding headcount, and they bring the industry with them. To the firms who chose to innovate — thank you. You built this number. We just kept listening.

Vise just crossed $100B in platform assets. 355% year-over-year growth and over $11.5B AUM in Vise’s Strategies. Our leanest team ever. In 2022, people said it was over. In 2023, investors told us to sell like every other tech asset management platform that caved. We ignored them. We buckled in and kept going. Why? Every week, Runik Mehrotra and I spoke with advisors. We were told that Vise was their secret weapon and they couldn’t live without it. They grew faster, spent more time with clients, and delivered competitive differentiation that wire-house advisors peddling active mutual funds couldn’t compete with. The thesis to enable advisors with tech that could help them scale and deliver personalization to all of their clients was working. They told other advisors. Those advisors moved too. In the last three months of this year, we onboarded more accounts than we did in all of 2023, 2024 and 2025 combined. We save clients millions in taxes every week, and the compounding is real. None of this happens without the advisors who trusted us when it wasn't obvious. People like Andrew Hawickhorst from Brücke Financial, Inc., an advisor in Indianapolis, who spoke to our team every week, giving us feedback to improve the product. And none of it happens without a loyal team that earned this every single day. $100B is just a number. What it actually represents is hundreds of firms who chose to innovate and take a chance. And we're just getting started.

I want to make a more nuanced point on the future of SaaS. The traditional SaaS vendors (Salesforce, HubSpot, Ironclad, etc) all charge per seat, so not only were we spending $500k+ a year, we were also rationing licenses. The sales team were the only ones with access to the pipeline and CRM, customer service was the only team in the CX platform, and so on down the stack. This scarcity mindset matters a lot more than the dollar savings. It forces heavy integrations between each SaaS and creates data silos between teams. If I'm an engineer and I want to understand who the customer I'm building for is and what they care about, I can't, because my seat would cost ~$5,000 a year. If I'm a salesperson and I want to know the biggest issues with the product, I have no way of seeing the support data. This is the cancer that kills companies over time. You have a scarcity mindset about what data you're allowed to see, and you lose ownership. A byproduct of building our own SaaS is that there are no per-seat fees or per-contact costs. Everyone at Vise has access to every possible SaaS, no restrictions. We call this SaaS abundance. In practice, everything (email history, call transcripts, pipeline, AUM data, tasks) lives in one system anyone can query. That engineer can now read the last three call transcripts with the firm they're building for. That salesperson can see the product roadmap sitting next to their pipeline, because we sync Linear straight into the CRM. And nobody is clicking through dashboards to get there, the whole team just asks Claude in natural language (we exposed the system through 37 purpose-built MCP tools) and gets answers. This is especially powerful as you build agents that act like virtual employees. Ours already do real work, FollowUpBot wakes up every morning and drafts personalized follow-ups for stale leads using context from past calls and emails. Agents need access to all possible data to be effective, so by building your own SaaS you automatically make every agent in your organization better. SaaS abundance has solved a lot of problems for us. The full story of how we built it (and what we learned) is on Vise HQ:

We turned off almost our entire SaaS stack this quarter (Salesforce, HubSpot, and the pile of spreadsheets and consultants we'd built around them) and replaced it with one system we built ourselves. We call it Vise HQ. When the software is yours, every improvement compounds and never resets at renewal. Generic SaaS does the opposite, it makes you average by design because your competitors get the same buttons. SaaS isn't dying because software is dying. It's dying because building exactly what you need just got cheap. How we built ViseHQ by David Hiles: https://lnkd.in/gdgJEkVF

I opened my session at the Vise Summit last week with this Ferrari ad from 1982 for its model 308 GTSi. No spec sheet, no horsepower numbers. Just a tag line: “What can be conceived can be created”. I led with it on purpose. Ferrari wasn’t selling an engine that day, they were selling the idea that the limit was your imagination, not the machinery. Build it in your head first and the engineering will catch up. That’s exactly where our industry sits with AI right now. For decades the hard part was execution. Could you actually get the work done, accurately, at scale, on time. That wall is coming down faster than most people realize. What’s left is the harder and more interesting question. Not “can we build it,” but “can we picture it.” The constraint has moved from the factory floor to the imagination. That’s where we start. There’s a lot that goes into building the AI-enabled RIA, but the first move isn’t technical. It’s giving yourself permission to imagine boldly before you worry about how. What would you build if execution weren’t the bottleneck anymore?

One of the best sessions at our Investment and Operations Summit in Aspen wasn't run by us. It was led by Gary Bonner, Head of Operations and Technology at Parallel Advisors, LLC and it handed the room a real playbook for building the AI-enabled RIA. Gary opened with a line worth repeating: the AI you are working with today is the dumbest it will ever be. The constraint in this industry has shifted from execution to imagination, and the firms that internalize that will pull ahead. His core reframe was the part that stuck. Stop treating AI like a vendor feature you evaluate on price per seat, and start treating it like a new employee. You give it a job (the workflows you want automated), onboarding (reusable skills that encode how your firm actually does things), supervision (real governance and a signed data processing agreement), and the tools to do the work. Build the workflows before you scale the seats. 💪

Pretty easy to say that after a few days in Aspen with this group of advisors this was one of the best weeks I've had in a long time. We brought together a room of independent advisors for our Investment and Operations Summit, built around honest conversation about the future of their practices and their clients. The energy was hard to put into words, especially being able to host the event and bring some energy as well! These are people who run demanding businesses and still showed up fully present, generous with their time and their ideas, and we had a lot of fun. We talked, we hiked, we ran whitewater, and we got to know each other as people, not just as a platform and its clients. These exchanges are where the true value and bonds were made and guards were down to have REAL conversations. Thank you to everyone who not only joined us but truly showed up! The trust you place in Vise is something we never have or ever will take lightly, and it is the reason we do this work. Already counting down to the next one…even the next 3 hour 4,000+ ft hike!
